hi folks pleased to meet you all ive just joined and looking for some advice on my first attempt at growing some blueberry auto flower .Im about 2/3 weeks in in a tent with 600w lunar led grow light growing in coco coir in 10l fabric pots .Im struggling to find correct info on watering (using a misting method for now) my plants are still strong but have yellow tips on the first proper serated leaves and the cotyledons have died and stalks are redish coloured on both plants ??? ,thanks matty

Coco should stay saturated.
Have you ever fed/water to run off?

Well first off you never just water with coco coir. You must feed daily. I feed mine til I get about 10% runoff. But we definitely need more info to properly help you.

First thing to remember is that coco is not soil. It's an inert grow medium. It is to be treated like drain to waste hydroponics. It must be kept consistently saturated and should never be given plain water as it messes with the cation exchange. I will let people more experienced than I at growing in coconut take it from here as I've only grown in it a few times, but I recommend you set aside a couple hours today of possible and read everything you can about growing in coco because it requires very specific treatment and those plants aren't going to do well unless you get it sorted asap. I am running simple coco containers- hand watered.

I use Mother Earth coco / perlite mix.
GH Maxigrow ( Veg ) and Maxibloom ( bloom ) powdered nutes . Calmag and hydroguard.
Tap water.

Early starts i run around 600 ppm @5.85 ph.
Veg around 750 -850 ppm.
Bloom 900-1050 ppm.
( some growers push things but i find these numbers just fine. )

Coco must never go dry . Never use plain water either.

great thanks maybe ive not been watering enough and ive recently bought a+b nutreints so will start asap ive not added perilte is this a must (ive only just found out about it and have now ordered some) ? would it be too risy to mix a new perilte/coco soil and re pot them?

Nope. It's a great medium if you know how to use it just like anything else. There is no easy way where you just throw plants at dirt and watch them grow. Each medium has its own + and -'s you need to figure out what you want to use and what would work best in your particular situation.

You were definitely misinformed. Next grow try something like Pro Mix HP or Sunshine 4.

Through the mister sprayer in the back yard.
Use breathing pots. Simply lift your pot, if it feels empty or lite, fill until it drips from bottom.
A thirsty plant will take it's time swallowing, if you will.
No worries, she'll live.

There should never be a need to spray a plants canopy, or anywhere.
If you need to spray, then you've got real real big problems.

Go with breathable pots nex time man. Easier to judge when she's truly thirsty. Lift test.

what size are pots compared to plants, if large pots hard for plant to take up mositure, that age a mist gun can feed plant better
