HGNW better strains than TGA?

I just found out that home grown natural wonders split from being part of the TGA branch or whatever they call it. I looked at their strain list and to me that HGNW might be getting the upper hand without the TGA name. Strains like Dr. Who , Quantum Kush, Professor Chaos, Micky Kush ... I mean those have been in the spotlight lately and I have seen some really positive results coming from those.

Now we also have Jinxproof still with Sub and he also has some dank. Unfortunately I bought two packs of the first round of 9lb hammers and gave one to a better grower than myself and both our gardens were practically destroyed by some nutsacks that appeared out of nowhere. Since then I haven't touched Jinx's gear.

I am just wondering everyone elses thoughts, I am bored waiting for the plants to grow up.

Which one is responsible for chernobyl? That strain is best of their gear from my experience.
Tga, although technically dioxide (another ex tga member) because he gave sub the bloodwreck cut he uses in chernobyl, time wreck, and qrazy train. And if I am not mistaken dioxide did the actaul breeding of that strain.

Makes me question how many strains Sub is responsible for. Not bagging on him I just think I am seeing a pattern here of his partnerships dissolving.

Same experience here I got the first round of 9lb nuts everywhere. The pack I got says Gooberry x Jesus OG but it is currently listed as Gooberry x Hells OG x Jack the Ripper. I remember someone saying there was an issue with the Jesus OG male that was first used but that's all hear say I have no first hand knowledge of that situation.

Some of his older crosses are all him to my knowledge, like vortex. But I mean you could say he just f1d the bros grimms work, and found a male out of vic highs stock. But really I feel like you can say this about any breeder that doesnt work with strictly land races. I mean everybody starts out using someone elses work which is why I think its funny people say x strain belongs to them.... no no no, you put work into making it be all it can be and I respect that. But you didnt take two things that existed before and make something entirely new thats all yours... rant over lol.

But I do see where you are coming from. I wonder if when really analyzed how many breeders did their own work or if they are just recording artists with a bunch of song writers getting them the grammys.

My only issue with HGNW is that TGA stuff is already SO unpredictable, crossing it again instead of working the line to stabilize traits will just compound that. They need to get the lines stabilized so they can actually outcross them for real f1s instead of just making more poly-hybrids, at least IMO.

The write up on the website says chernobyl is actually a trainwreck cut from "smokescreen" cross to a jack the ripper male.
Whoever it was it worked.
Of all the tga stuff ive bought or seen growing its the only pack id ever buy again.

No idea what is up with that, and Idk who smokescreen is, maybe the same person but I have only ever heard about dioxide being the one that got the bloodwreck cut to sub. The story is in his thread "Subcools Library", so idk why he would change the name of the mother cut and the person who found it when he has told the same story a zillion times online. Something about that strain description rubs me the wrong way I guess, like dude is trying to not give proper credit to spite him or something. Idk pure speculation on my part. All I know is the arcata x trinity cut they use was called bloodwreck not so long ago.

Maybe somebody closer to that crew could shine some light on the situation.

Is the yield really light? That seems to be the only drawback I keep hearing about it

I dont know man. I was just curious. It was wayyy better than i expected and regretted not taking cuttings about three hauls into one of the tastiest doobies ive ever had.
I previously tried 4 of his other strains that were horrible. I ended up donating most of it to friends and family and even they complained.

We got about 80-90g per.
I popped a 10 pack we were 6/10 males and two different phenos. One smelt like lime gasoline it was a nice surprise:)

If i knew then what i know now i would still have a cut and a bunch of stored pollen but oh well live n learn

subcool def has a prob with keeping friends. thats something that bothers me. if i can find the genetics i want from him elsewhere, thats what i do. now that hgnw is 85 a pack at ngr, thats whatsup!
Yup! Lower pricing for us and they probably get paid the same so we all win in this one. Cept for maybe Sub. He lost a nice lineup there from his catalogue.

remember when he said hes discontinuing aos and pb cause it didnt live up to his standards? then why pump as many seeds as he did? real reason he stopped? he ran out of stock most likely! sunny cheba is the breeder of black cherry soda and they split ways awhile ago...
