Sup RIU the names buz chiming in from the US. Atm I'm just lurking around scoping out the place and so far I can't believe what I am seeing. Inspirational and informative stuff. I've decided I wanted to start growing due to the hassle I've been going through lately (shady people and desert product) I'm slowly acquiring all my gear and so far I have a 600w 4x4x6 tent setup. This its where i stopped because I'm not sure if i want to do a soil based grow or want to do a hydroponics setup. I'm not growing to sell but I would like high yell yields.at least a lb per cycle. Basically one or two plants ata time. My question its would i be able to do thatwith soil?

Hey Buz, welcome to RIU mate :)

i see you've already seen Flowamasta's thread, that guy pulls over 20oz from one plant under a 600w so its very doable if you go scrog and veg for a bit longer :) keep us posted when you get everything set up!!

With a long 2 month veg and lots of training, and then the right strain, and a healthy grow- you may get close. But since you are a newbie, it will take you a few grows under your belt I'm guessing before you get to where u want to be....

with a 4 by 4 area i would grow at the very least 4 or 5 plants, ihave a 2 by 4 area i grow 5 or 6 no problems, you would need alot of training and light stress training to get a LB with 1 or 2 plants, but its possible i think

Thanks for the feedback, for the last month all I've been doing is researching and jotting down notes. Buying a few things here and There until everything is ready. I know for my first couple of grows i probably won't hit my goal but that's what I'm aiming for. I've decided to get some waterfarms but i did attempt a diy dwc out of a 5 gallon bucket. Once the tent and lights come in I will try to flush the hydroton and see how my ph/temp/humidity lvls are. Once thats dialed in ill start a journal. Once i find my camera that is. Stay medicated and keep positive ppl.

Mo I've seen flows work and others here and other sites. But flowamaster is a best of a grower. Wish i had a mentor like his. And someone to share bud/ clones with

Beast* my phone wont let me get to that word.. Guess thats how my phone feels about flow lol

btw I've simmered down a bit and actually read A Beginners Guide to Growing Cannabis. Idk what shoes i was tryna fill. now I'll just be happy with what i get atm
