Hey all! What's your preferred method for starting germinated seeds in rockwool in dwc/rdwc without a drip feed?

You hit the nail on the head! I have been religiously overthinking things. Way too much time on google and in forums chasing knowledge just to second guess everything once another bit of knowledge becomes available. I'm that way with anything new that I attempt. Probably the side effect of years of keeping a saltwater reef tank, which requires constant research and a vast array of knowledge. Thanks again for all your advice! I'm gonna take a step back, smoke a bowl, and enjoy the journey.
4 sure. I'd start thinking of a way to design a little box or shield to put around your intake pipes that water can slip behind but doesn't pull the roots towards the pipe opening. If u put a box around the intake that let water come in from the bottom against the wall it probably wouldn't fill with roots

If water gets somewhere, roots will get there too. If the space is small enough to not allow roots to pass through, they will just clog it instead. They are persistent little buggers. Lol.

Good point. Maybe a screen or something. Let them clog what they clog. Deal with it as you have to. At least you won't have catastrophic failure in 24 hrs from a single pipe filling. 3.142 square inches to clog vs say 64 square inches using a 8x8 screen
