I'm not a fan of smoking potential leftover iso and I hear what everyone's saying about the small amount of bubble hash vs the time to do it.
I do have a 20 ton bottle jack, a welder and enough metal to constrain the jack... Just need to find a solid heat plate. Perhaps it will make a useable, if not great, rosin. Not looking for anything great here, just something I don't have to smoke a ton of, like weak buds.
Lol you won't get any return from rosin either dude, there is minimal amounts of oil there. The cannabutter suggestion that was made was an ok idea. I still would prefer to make a concentrate and then make cannabutter with that so it doesn't taste like plant.

If you make QWISO properly you wouldn't be smoking any trace amounts of alcohol. ISO is super easy to evap out of concentrates, you don't need a vacuum or heat. There is a link in my sig line to the tutorial I posted years ago on how to make it correctly.

My grandmother use to say, a hard head makes a soft ass. He would have probably had better bud than the hash he’s making with clear trichomes.

Well sorry to disappoint all the avid seed smokers who would rather waste time and precious growing space, to make schwag you have to pick through, when I have backup clones ready to flower. Also, I cooked with it and it's fine. Makes great smoothies too. Meanwhile my og kush that replaced that hermaphrodite bag seed which was in dirt of no value, is doing phenomenally. But thx for the hate-ons and down talking when all I asked was if and how you'd concentrate it.

Ps, sounds like your grandma was a good looker, just not a good finder.

I wouldn't bother trying to cure and smoke that. Personally I would make qwiso with it, not bother trying to make bubble has either. I think you would be very dissapointed with what you got form trying to make bubble with it.

I don't see any obvious male parts, which makes me think you really jumped the gun on cutting them. New growers get super nervous about males and hermies and pollen. It all takes more time to happen then most people realize because most people have never flowered out a male plant. If you pay attention to your plants its very easy to prevent males or hermies from pollenating your whole room.

Those plants look like they needed another 5-6 weeks still.
Also if you get nanners keep going! Any seeds will be female. I know I literally grew up on the border in the 60’s with Mexican brick but I get a real laugh about people freaking on seeded pot that they’re going to consume by themselves. Who started the crap that seeded weed is no good? Yes I grow sensimilla and strive for perfection. But one of the best strains I’ve ever grown were from nanner pollinated weed that seeded. Every plant female of course. Hermie? Entirely different regarding any seeds produced but still smokable. Blastable. Tincture time etc.

And disrespectful to people’s grandmothers who are resting in peace...

And who’s hating? Don’t even know you bro. You started a thread asking for opinions, but you’re not liking the opinions that differ from yours. If you don’t wanna hear different opinions, don’t ask for them.

You actually asked if you should make hash or cure it.

You made a big mistake IMO. I just harvested a chem og plant that started throwing TONS of nanners week 5, I plucked as much as possible but at the rate of herm she was going through, there was no stopping it. I let the plant mature, and she gave me 6.75 oz of the heaviest narcotic of cannabis I may have ever smoked, from a 5 gal pot in soil. Plus it is super smooth. Yes, there are a few seeds. No, I don't smoke seeds. This is the best bud I have ever grown, hands down, and is a top 5 ever smoked. And I've been a heavy smoker for 20 years

My diy bridgelux lights are too good. I grew a second round and caught the nanners early. The last round had full on seeds developed and the buds started growing super loose after they got pollinated. It was a good time to cut that shit short and start anew in my new tent that didn't have barn bugs spreading nanner pollen all over. My new tent was positive pressure, vented upwards and I was ahead of the nanners enough this time to save it.

Herming can be just as easily from genetics as too much heat/other stressors. Did the second round happen to be the same genetics? When my one ChemOG started throwing them like crazy, I had 3 others in the 4x4 tent and had to make the decision on how to proceed. I opted to let her go and see the results, and I can't stress enough how happy I am in letting her go. Absolutelty devastating stuff, hands down better than the other 3, but has seeds. It also had full blown male flowers on a few branches. Stuff is so good that the wife and I can't finish a bowl, and we are heavy smokers. Life is an experiment, don't forget that.

Life is an experiment. I like that.

They were clones of the same plants, ya.

Only the top of the plant was nannering. I noticed that the upper canopy leaves were yellowing and nannering, so I lifted my lights and some green came back into the leaves and the nanners started drying up and dieing off. I couldn't tell last time because I had removed the lower canopy, so it looked like the whole plant was dieing off at the same time.

I bought some og kush, cbd white widow etc etc so we'll see how proper genetics do this time.

The stuff I got from round 2 is 1 week into cure and its good shit. Some buds have teeny tiny seed beginnings but no full on seeds this time.

Had a light fall on one of my sativa dom plants once. Broke the main stem right off. She was 5 or 6 weeks into flower, can't remember. Trichomes were 100% clear. There was THC, but the high was weird, hit hard quick then faded fast. If you have to harvest early you might as well dry and cure it. I used most of it for edibles fwiw.riu4.JPG
Here's what she looked like after I cleaned up the break.

Lmao that amount of bro science people believe is funny... “bud with seed is less potent”

So a plant produces resin to catch pollen.....if the plant is so stressed out thinking it can’t catch any before death and it feels it has to grow a Pepe and do the job itself.... why on earth would the plant stop producing resin?!

And there is obviously clear trichs already on the plant so I guess during pollination those stop ripening as well? In that case we should all pollinate the week before harvest! That way we have trichomes that will never degrade in potency and be just as good for 100000 years+...

It amazes me that people think they are smarter then Plants. Harsher smoke yes...less potent he’ll no. Shouldn’t have cut them imo.

They start growing loosely once pollinated, plants energies are divided. It's fairly simple. It's not useless, it's just lower upper potential. When I have a handful of clones ready to replace them already, it's a no brainer. Nanners aren't always a death sentence, but in my case there were large clusters of seeds forming all around due to insects spreading the pollen very efficiently..

Round 2 turned out ok. I picked the nanners this time before they had a chance to spread. 1 week into cure and it is already a good, strong high. Tastes poor, but it'll get there. DSC_0002_BURST20190909185314940.JPG

These ones I believe the nanners were becoming too hard to keep up with at the end and they also started to slow down and get a little more loose. The trichomes got milky in time though so I cut em before it got overly loose.

By loose you mean not dense? Do the buds feel hard on the plant and then go loose at chop or they are loose right away wile they grow? I have never experienced the looseness wile growing I currently have a pollinated plant drying and as soon as I cut it it went abit fluffier then the rest. Wonder if it’s the same thing ur experiencing?

Yes, lacking density. I find that they go from growing densely to loosely after being pollinated. Or perhaps when nannering, possibly from stress.
The first round did it after they were seeded and this round did it towards the end when the nanners were out of control.

I make seeds every grow. I don't experience what you're talking about. Buds are still dense. I get just as high from the seeded weed as the unseeded.

Are you growing in plain ol soil? I don't water in any nutrients, I just put in successive amounts of soil and larger pots throughout the grow. Has worked well. I feel like it's barely enough to keep the plant happy, so this division of its resources is more pronounced than if it had an abundance of available nutrients.
