Hermie - To Chop or Not To Chop?? Please reply!

My two plants are about 6 weeks into flowering. Discovered yesterday, one is going hermie :cry:. SO...I would like to know what you would do if this happened to you? Would you chop it? Will I even get high off it at this point? Or should I just let her/him :) ride it out for another couple weeks? Since it's bagseed, not sure how long I need to let it flower anyway. I'm such a newb :) lol

Tell me your thoughts!
 
Here are some pictures of the little freak :-? Just the tops - looks yummy, but I know what a couple weeks will do.

Damn, that sucks it would have been a nice harvest had it not gone hermi, take your losses though and chop it, the other plant will still be potent as hell and you will definitely get high quite a few times off of that hermi.
 
ive heard that you can carefully chop the pollen sacks off and continue to flower it but im not sure ive only heard of that never actually seen it done but i figure it cant hurt anything if your gna chop it down anyways.....
 
I had a plant that either hermied or got pollinated and I just continued to grow it until it started to look bad. It was also from bag seed so I just let it continue to go. When it started to look bad I harvested the thing, dried it out, cured it for a bit and smoked it. It had a lot of seeds but that was cool 'cause now I have a bunch of seeds to continue to use for grow experimentation. The smoke wasn't too bad either. It wasn't a great high but it was better than nothing at all.

I posted pictures of it yesterday - trust me, it has mangina as someone called it..lol. I had a couple flowers with the little banana flowers coming out, and I have the little sacks. Look up my last thread - great pictures of a hermi.

I'm pissed tho. :roll: I treated it like a golden egg and the freak jumped ship on me. Damn.

IMO i would get rid of it and chop if i had more than one plant. IF it was my only plant i would grow it through....noy worth seeding both plants

I got a mangina I'm Old Greg.
 
More balls will show, chop her and save the other one. I had one I thought I was keeping on top of pinching balls. She had toonnnnns of seeds. It won't be bad smoke though, you'll be super productive from those clear trichs. I like early picked sativa myself >_>
 
Well you can just isolate the hermie and grow it alone. When it self-pollinates the seeds will have about 85% fem, 15% herm genetics. My 1st grow netted me a hermie, since it was my only plant I kept it, since then I've used 7 of its seed - all fem.

These numbers are totally wrong. With each successive generation of planted hermies pollinating eachother, it gets worse. Hermies are bad, you DO NOT WANT THEM. You might get lucky a few times and keep them female, but save yourself the trouble and get rid of them.

Yeah it pains us all to have to kill our loves BUT you want your girls to be virgins? get rid of that freak, maybe extract the resin out and make hash or something, but it's not even worth it.:peace:
 
ive got 2 plants and noticed 1 has hairs and balls its just week into bloom shud i cut them off or take it out completly?
