Hermie or normal?

Most of my plant is gorgeous and in full flowering, little white pistils everywhere and happy green leaves, but even before those started showing up, just over halfway down the plant, hidden by most of the foliage are two or three little nodules on the base stem near where they connect. I'm really concerned that it's a hermie (it went through some stress about that time that that section was growing), even though it's been showing so well as female everywhere else. What do you think? Just new leaf growth & I'm overprotective?

Nope, thats just growth that occurs to females during flowing.. looks basically like a big calyx sometimes they have hairs too. But from the pic I'm almost positive thats not a male. The male will look like a ball attached to a small stem and there will usually be more than one ball per node. Good luck!
