Hermi???

The most likely explanation is that the plants were stressed into throwing balls.
But thinking about it, autos are very tough and hard to stress.

If thinking that it was the genetics makes you sleep better at night, okay.
But if it was actually environment and you are stressing autos to the point of throwing balls, you have some serious environmental problems in your grow area.

If it did "hermie" as a result of bad genetics, you do not want to get any pollen on other plants. If the pollen is a result of stress, then the pollen would produce feminized seeds.

soapbox time

I respectfully disagree about autos. I thought the same about them until a newb friend wanted to grow. He got some auto seeds and I helped him out. He stressed them a bit with heat and too much nutes, but they turned out pretty nice.

He gifted me a fat jar and I liked it. It has a different cannabinoid profile. I did an auto seed crop with his left over seeds in a shed that hit 35 degrees and 95 at the high and low. Regular plants would not have made it. I plan on doing another one this Spring and crossing some of my crosses.

I give out the seeds to friends that do not want to deal with complicated growing. I still prefer regular plants, but there are definitely auto varieties that are better than some regular varieties.
Nothing really makes me sleep easier at night than a nice indica but I would like to better understand what I'm doing sometimes. My room is pretty consitant and stays between 82-84 in light and 72-73 with lights off and humidity at about 30-40 give or take. I really hope this wouldn't be considered stressing and considering I'm not having any ball throwing with any of my other 7 autos I'm really looking for reasoning why this one decided to be different.

In agreence with your soap box I am willing to try anything when it comes to growing, simply because I am new to this art and the only way for me to learn is trial and error. I believe though if people with more experience than most are trying something to make it a little easier for people who are inexperienced why not give it a shot especially with quick turn around times. And at an average of 10 bucks a seed why not increase the odds of better production whether it be auto or fem. One would think that us pussies as someone put would actually be getting more for our money when it comes to buying seeds bc we have a higher liklihood of getting seeds that produce, which is why we're all here, right? I mean few people grow to hope for seed production all the time, well unless your a seed bank but even then aren't you still interested in product?

you must of stressed it, cuz i looks like it was showing female first
It was showing female first or I didn't catch it, which I find incredibly hard to believe as they are very close to my immediate living area so naturally I am constantly checking them. Not to mention sitting down at least once a day to inspect. I just don't know how I stressed one but not all, that does not make any sense considering the conditions are pretty consistent. 82-84 light 72-73 dark 30-40 humidity.
