Hermaphrodite?? Buds or pollen sacks??

DSC01351.jpgDSC01353.jpg

This plant just entered the flowering stage. To the right you see the cola forming, but in the left pic it appeared to be buds at first but now it looks like pollen sacks. Break it to me easy....Is my baby a hermaphrodite??

Looks like a hermie for sure, if you have other girls around you might wanna remove, that will be alot of pollen! Good luck.

Dude looks like a lady, its a chick with a dick.....sorry man its a hermi.
Kill it off and start again its not going to be worth growing that out.

Sure there are the first pic the male flower buds are segmented by the pedals of the flower and look like tight bunches of little bananas.

Its not going to be worth growing out even if there are no other females in the room.
Its very much a hermi, so its not going to throw out many female flowers and all the ones it dose will be seeded.
That plant isn't going to produce much bud at all, once it is pollinated by its self just about all the energy that would go into producing bud will be used to produce seeds instead. Its better to just start off new, but dont use seeds from the same source that, that plant came from they will most likely do the same thing.
If you do keep it around dont be surprised when crops down the road mysteriously end up seeded, the pollen will get every where and hang around for a long time.

Thanx for the help. theoretically, if i quarantined that plant and removed the pollen sacks to prevent self pollination would that be enough to insure sinsemilla?

With how many male flowers I see in the pic, I think it would be a waste of time to grow it out.
If you move it to a different room in the same house the other females are still at risk of being pollinated.
Unless the room you put it in is air tight and shares no ducting with the rest of the house.
And you never go from that room into the room with the other plants with out a change of cloths and shower you may be able to pull it off.
Pollen is a bitch man its like dust and floats around very easily and can hang around on walls, floor, lights.....basically everything in the house just waiting to make seeds.

Your not going to get much of anything off that plant, and you are putting the rest of your crop at risk of much lower yield keeping it around.
I know it sucks but you are better off just killing it off.

Theoretically, yes, but you'd have to keep attacking new balls that showed up. Sure, put it by itself and try it. I really think the worst scenario would be a bunch of feminized seeds.

A bunch of junk fem seeds that will just about all show the same bad traits, not something I would ever waste my hard work and money on.

It would be way more work then it worth to try and pluck off the male flowers, its not going to stop throwing them out.
I can see them in the second pic in the female bud too the first pic is all male flowers so its not going to yield anything but seeds.
And as I said before junk seeds that would end up in my trash can, I wont grow shit genetics on purpose.

I'm wondering why I keep hearing people say "end up with femenized seeds" (not just this thread). Now I may be just missing something here, BC I'm a biochem guy without much focus on biology, but is a plants sex not determined by the allele makeup in the chromosomes? Females receive two x chromosomes, males receive an x and a y chromosome?

I thought a plant had to be sprayed with a certain chemical (silver & something) that killed off the y chromosomes in order to produce feminized seeds?

I mean, what makes you guys think that a plant that is randomly placing genetic material into its seeds, is putting genetic material in there that will create only females?

Is it BC the male passes down the y chromosome with plants too, and hermies can't produce/pass down the y chromosome?
