It's not biased, unless you think being CORRECT is biased.

Liberals are biased towards failure then.
c'mon CJ you are better than that. Being 'swayed' by past performance makes you biased, fact, whether you or I like it or not. The statement about being correct is utter nonsense. It is having a view, not being CORRECT....

If you want to get technical, everyone is biased then. It has no meaning.

I do have principles I am guided by. These don't change unless new data can support it. i am always open to new ideas, but not based on emotion or wishful thinking.

Here's a few principles of mine that guide me.

1.) The govt. is less efficient than the private sector
2.) The more local the govt., the more responsive it is to the ppl's needs
3.) Greed exists in both sectors equally
4.) The ppl's interests are best protected by a strong private sector
5.) If you earn it($$$), it's urs, and no one should be able to force you on how or where or on whom to spend it.
6.) Treat others as you wish to be treated.
7.) Tell the truth, even if it is painful.
8.) Be a good neighbor.
9.) Be a good friend.
10.) Religion holds man back.

Just a few off the top of my head. I believe these to be true and/or goals for everyone who has actually looked at things objectively, with perhaps a hint of bias...

Aside from #10 we're in agreement. "Holding man back" is extremely subjective, and cannot be proven either way. I'm on the opposite side of the fence with you in only this area.

Hey, I'm not the gestapo, you can believe what you like. I just hold these truths to be self evident for me. On these points, I don't bend much.

As for religion, it helps man to absolve his deeds too much. It allows us and perhaps why we refuse to get rid of it, to not face our true selves in the mirror.

In the end religion is a lie and we are lying to ourselves, willingly, and knowingly.
We wield our religions as tribal clubs ... in the name of G*D ... knowingly.

Cracker ... ahead of the pack, and not looking back. But I'll always give a hand up ... if you can catch me.

but that was my original point really, everyone is biased, of course we are, having different cultures and languages and beliefs all cause bias all the time. People who believe they speak objectively a lot of the time are wrong a lot of the time. It is incredibly hard to be unbiased. Bias is a concept very few indulge in learning about, you know why? They are in denial.....lol!

Oh Lawdy, we never found the time. Now I will say that I did an awful lot of food shopping in some very fine stores (by american standards ), and I was unable to find duck legs by themselves. I would so love to be able to get a rack of legs. Now I can buy whole trays of chicken legs all day long, but no duck legs. Duck is one of my very favorite things to eat.
No, in the end we "copped" out and went with Turkey and the works. My Mom decided to stay for the holidays since there were so many relatives swinging in. That means I'm OUT of the kitchen ... ( I'm a better cook, but she needs to do it more than I need to cook it).

Yes, there is definitely a duck bias here in the USA. someone call the UN and see if a resolution can't be passed ... in triplicate.

It is in the restaurants, but not in the grocery store. It's all farm raised of course, but almost always it's a whole or nothing deal.

Calif. Gov. Calls For More Federal Aid As States Bleed Red

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger addresses a joint session of the state Legislature as he gives his final State of the State address at the Capitol in...

Calif. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger should have said "I'll be back" when the state got billions of dollars from the federal government last year. Because on Wednesday, he demanded another handout.
In his state of the state speech, Schwarzenegger acknowledged California faces deep budget woes and called for federal assistance.
He did not give an exact figure but argued that Washington owes billions to the state, even though it got $8 billion from the stimulus package in 2009. The former big screen tough guy was a bit defensive in making the request though.
"We are not looking for a federal bailout, just federal fairness," he told state lawmakers.

Bailout is a toxic term now... In less than a year. Name Change!!! Same money ... They should be rewarded for blowing through every budget for decades....
