Here's my light, will it work?

I bought a "lights of america'' portable grow light model 7020 E-GL Rated 120v 60Hz 17W 300mA from the store to grow, about two plants with. I wanted to give you guys the specs and I hope to simply verify if this is a good light for just a couple plants since I'm a total noob. This doesn't list how many lumens it produces but the smaller one next to it was over 700lm. I figure since this one is more than double its wattage it should be ok? Thanks!

IM new to growing myself but om gonna say i dont think that will b enough for two plants. Iwould say you prob need atleast 1 more mayb two but i could b wrong. But as i have read lights are everything with the plants.

Ok I'm hearing it should be about a 400 watt hps bulb instead of a 75watt fluorescent thing lol. I guess if this is truly useless I'll take it back and finda 400 watt hps bulb.

Get 2 of em ,,one for each plant

the light in my avatar is a 65 watter from HD

has 4200 lumenes which is above minimum recomendation for 1 plant, ie; 1 square foot

bit the bullet at get a HID

these bulbs will veg like crazy but in my opinion hps is the only way to bud

Too late. I just finished setting it all up. JUST sat down from being ALL DONE lol. BUT this will just have to do or not work until I get the cash to put into a better setup. You're right and I wanna get a nice little hps system going on. A consistent flow is what I'm going to end up with after I take all the advice on this site and really learn the ropes. That's the plan anyway. I'm a total noob just trying to turn his thumb green!

One 17W light for 2 plants? Lmao. NO WAY in hell.
You want minimum 200 fluoro watts PER plant... So you're looking at about 1000W of incadescent equivalent per plant.
Sorrry dude your not even growing 1/2 a plant with that light.
