Here we go again!

Look, drab, I'm not trying to be negative. But temperature control of your reservoir is one of the most basic and critical things in DWC/Bubbleponics. I'm not saying you aren't capable. Perhaps your grow space is not conducive to the method.

From what I have gathered through pics you have that bucket in a very confined space. A little more room for airflow would help dramatically with rez temps.

But you also say that water temps aren't getting much higher than 75F, correct?

Also I remember you saying that you were mistaking Tablespoons for teaspoons when mixing nutrients. If you did that and fed them at a rate of tablespoons/gallon and not teaspoons/gallon you gave them 3x the recommended dosage. I overfed mine really bad one day, over 3500ppm. My rez turned into snot as well and temps were never high in there.

I think your plants may have to be discarded. Your last resort is to trim away a good portion of the roots and hope for new growth. I had to do that with mine, one of them didn't make it.
It's cool man, now worries. I'm keeping the temps down lately but I wasn't trying to in the beginning. It was up to 90 once and stayed at 80 for a couple days at a time. :dunce: I think they'll be able to recover, but if this grow doesn't work out, it's no big deal. I'm just tryin' to learn

It is in dealing with problems that we learn. Keep plugging away. As I've said in the past, my first grow was terrible and only one plant survived out of 6 but I learned and got it figured out.

Thats a great way to look at it. Use every bit of this time to absorb the experience, and believe it or not, all of this that you're going through, is part of the experience. How could you ever know what's bad, good, or better without royally screwing up a few times. IMO, you should learn to master your environment and work with what you have, never be afraid to scrap an Idea if it's not working. You may have to modify your setup many times before it works for your situation.
That being said, I believe DD is right. You might rethink your ventilation, the plants really like it! also, don't expect changes too quickly. While hydro can allow for quick corrections, your plant may need some time depending on the damage. Be patient with your girls. =)

I was just lucky to have taken clones of both plants before the mishap occurred. Although it looks like the phenotype that didn't make it will be phased out anyway. It stretches too damn much!

Healthy new growth this morning on three plants, res temperatures have stayed at or below 65 since my change yesterday. I think I'm back on track fellas

I should also add that I had to cut back my roots heavily, but they're being rapidly replaced by furry whites now :) I think one of the four probably won't make it, but I'm almost positive it's a male. More room for the girls, anyway!

How long should I be waiting on them to re-adjust?

Awesome! That's exactly what should have happened. Don't feed them anything more than half-strength. Keep an eye on those roots. Give them another 2Tbsp/gal of H202 every two to three days and they should right themselves within 7-10 days.

I followed the 8 step recovery, but didn't know anything about 1/2 strength. The problems aren't getting worse but progress is still very slow, should I take the concentration down to 1/2?? This is so confusing
