Here we go again; Blue Cheese & PowerKush

I started noticing a little bit of nute burn a few days ago. :-( It was much more noticeable on the Blue Cheese but the powerkush had a bit too. I flushed both plants and the BC has exploded with bud growth ever since. The cola has actually begun to fill out. The PowerKush has always been doing great but some tips of leaves had a little burn so I figured a flush couldn't hurt in case there was salt buildup. Thanks to this site I'm finally starting to be able to troubleshoot my own problems. :-D Anyhow, new pics...

Hey man I'm Also growing 1 powerkush I got from dinafem,
she is still vegging, she's about 3 weeks old and looking very healthy and green,
she will be a mother as soon as she matures a bit, ur plants looks nice man I'll stay posted

Just a note, if you have proper drainage you
should not get nute burn. Of
course if you overfertilize you will, but the plant needs those combination of nutes to grow properly. Dropping the Tiger Bloom isn't going to solve your question, I think. I use almost full strength with the Beastie Bloomz, Open Sesame, and Cha-Ching in soil. I water every other day, and only use nutes once a week and my shit looks like someone poured a bag of sugar on them. I don't want say that proper drainage is the only correct answer but I do believe that you need all nutes. The
bloom has a bunch of the "P" in the NPK which is what it needs.

Makes sense. I think my problem was that I was giving them full nutes with every water and due to using small pots this time around I was watering every three days. They were getting a ton of nutes because of it. After the flush I gave them plain PH'd water and the BC has responded really well. The PK had a bit of nute burn on the tips of some leaves but it really wasn't a big issue yet but I figured a flush wouldn't hurt. They both will be getting nutes in a few days but I'm going to do every other water from now on which is what I probably should have been doing from the start. Live and learn I guess...

Powerkush continues to fatten up. Side nug:

Last grow with two white widows I got a little over two ounces but both plants were bigger. (Both were 28'' when harvested.) With this grow my BC is 24'' tall and looking like a sativa pheno and and my PK I flowered way too soon so it ended up being a dwarf at 15''. :wall: Realistically, I'll be happy with an ounce and anything extra will be icing on the cake. It really depends on how much the BC fattens up though.

As soon as I get close to harvest I'm going to start vegging a Lemon Skunk and Blue cheese and this time around they will veg for 30 days or so which is what I did last grow. :bigjoint:

This was my WW grow at 4wks flowering but all I had was a crappy webcam so the quality is horrible:

Damn but that still looks Sick! what light were you using with the WW?

and what strain would you say u had the most success with, regarding yield and quality?

I was using a 150HPS and roughly 300w of CFL's. I can't really comment on success though... keep in mind this is only my 3rd successful grow with this current setup. My biggest yield so far was the WW though and it was damn good smoke.

Things are really looking good. Most notably the Blue Cheese has really taken off since the flush. The buds are fattening and the leaves look MUCH healthier. Much less of the claw going on. While it's also in it's 6th week of flowering I'm thinking it probably has another 4+ to go.

The PowerKush's pistils are starting to turn orange. I can spot a couple cloudy trichs but the vast majority are still clear. My guess is 2wks to go on her. What do you all think? Pics of PK along with trichs:

Very nice man! I got a BB Blue Cheese starting up. Gonna be vegged under a t-5 and then a 250..400 for flowering. How did you get that trich shot with you camera? Nice job!

Thanks. Bud growth happens the most in the last 4 weeks so yes, definitely.

Thanks man. For the picture I used a Fuji S1500 in super macro mode. I highly recommend it, you can get one for $175 and while it's no DSLR it takes damn good shots. The only catch is automatic mode sucks bad so you've got to go manual which requires a bit of a learning curve.

Good luck with your BC I had a rough start with mine until I figured out it doesn't like a lot of nutes. It seems like it's going to flower for a long time though so hopefully the buds will fill out better the next few weeks. I won't be surprised if it goes 10-12 weeks. At least I'll have the PowerKush to hold me over though. :bigjoint:

Hey man..My BC didn't even make it..Popped out of the ground and had the shell stuck really tight on top. I removed the shell carefully, but it died a day later. Prob should of just left it alone. I'll grow it again, I got so many other seeds tho. One of these days..

Anyway, I got a Cali Hash and a Blue Hash from Dinafem going. You should come check it out. Take care man. Happy growing! :leaf:
