Actually, it might look more like this:

Bathroom Spot Light Bar.jpg

These are designed for Bathroom use, so I guess more suitable for a more humid environment.

This/or something like it, would be placed at mid/lower plant level, somehow.

Opinions please.

What's the best CFL bulbs to use for vegging?
I like dual 42 watt bulbs run with a Y splitter. If your running them in a home depot style clip on fixture with a crappy aluminum shroud over the light, youll probably need to get an extention for the Y addapter because the lights wont fit snug under the shroud without that extra inch or so clearance. Or you can run them bare and not worry about it if you dont want the shroud. I use the reflection...watever. You can easily do one month veg with six plants with three of those for the size your looking to flower at. Just my couple pennies :):):)

3:1 5k to 27k CFLs. Wattage doesnt matter so much as how you use them, but may 42w?? And my bad about the last post haha I thought you meant something to hang them on :eyesmoke:.
Thanks S.

Lol, no problem, I've saved the link in case I need more clothes space in the future.

Oh and I meant to ask, what CFL's would you recomend for flowering?

Which CFL's would you recomend for flowering.

I'm considering them for supplementary light?

Same ones lol just then 3:1 27k to 5k!
Sounds about right, if its just suplimental lighting you could go 50/50 split or even just run all 27s, i run all 27s for veg and it does fine, i just didnt feel like getting new bulbs from my first set up. Theyre doing fine with an led in there. Im about to top at around 40 days. Looks like they need some water today :):):)

No I don’t need them for vegging, just may pic up a few at some point to provide lower lighting in flowering.

Not as a necessity just as a supplemental touch.

Cool.

I like a few 6500K for veg as well to what others have said.

Last grow I vegged cfl, but w/ cfls vertical and like 8in away from canopy.

I now Have cfl veg with the bulbs horizontal and much closer to the canopy and the results are WAAAYYY better!!

Might already have been said but cfl coils facing plant is the way to go!! gl

Alright in reverse order:

The Ugly.

Expert Haze got to close to the sun for too long and I wasn't paying enough attention to her over a period of days.

I also had not been using the humidifier for a couple of weeks. Humidity had got reasonably high at some point so I shut it off.

Humidity had crept down to the low 30's, this combined with Expert Haze being the tallest and too close to the light her leaves got sunburn/dried out.

I have started using the Humidifier again and repositioned E Haze, trimmed off the burnt edges and she appears to be recovering well.

I give her more attention now.

The Bad:

The fan fell a couple of times this past week, on the same plant, one of the OG Kush's.

It broke one branch half way through, I just pushed the branch back to its original position and it seemed to stick into position.

I think there's more than a 50% chance of it fusing.

I tied a piece of ribbon around the branch so I know to be careful with it.

The Good:

The ladies buds are growing nicely it amazing to watch the spread of bud on a daily basis.

I've kept feeding simple, other than a few doses of miracle grow early on, it's been just water and a couple doses of Fish Blood & Bone.

I've kept it real simple to see what's possible on minimal suplimentation.

I may give them a couple doses of Mollases before harvest time.

Not too bad overall. You've taken on a lot for your first grow. Learn what you can apply it to future grows and enjoy the victories!

Yeah, I've come to the conclusion that the first grow is a lot like having sex for the first time.

You have the big picture, but there are many intricacies that you don't know.

So the only way to learn is to do it.

The beauty of a grow is the constant ability to evaluate and re-evaluate as the grow progresses and think about what you will do for the next grow, what you will do the same and what you will do differently.

It's been a hell of a trip and it ain’t over yet.

I've already got my next grow planned.

I'm loving it.

They look good minus the crispy skank. Just watch for them turning light green if they need nutrients. :)
Lol, I'm keeping a very close eye on them after this scare

Seems kinda strange now that I'm two thirds in.

Seemed like climbing a mountain at first, onwards and upwards.
