herb grinder

Hey guys, this might be a stupid question but here it goes.

Believe it or not I have never used an herb grinder. I usually use my fingers or small scissors.

My question is, what is better an herb grinder or a grinder and pollinator in one??

Now is a grinder/pollinator used for just making kif?

If it is something where you use the grinder normally and after like 10 uses you can then open the other compartment and see a lot of kif then that would be cool.

what are good ones to get?

I got a Space Case. It's big as hell, so I can grind lots of bud at once.

After I grind the bud, I sift the broken up stuff over the screen and also tap it a few times with the top of the grinder...A nice amount of keif every time.

There's all kinds of grinders out there that catch keif. I'd say find one you like that's in your budget and go for it.

my misses uses them, i cant be arsed, fingers for me everytime...

Found a "pill" grinder at the dollar store that works great. Small amounts at a time though, great for the wife and I.

are these used to just make keif or are they used to grind herb as a normal grinder, but second as a keif catcher that takes many grindings to collect enough to smoke??

Now is a grinder/pollinator used for just making kif? No. It's used to break up your bud.. but the collector in the bottom collects the keif so you can take it and press it if you want... or top off a bowl with it for a treat.

If it is something where you use the grinder normally and after like 10 uses you can then open the other compartment and see a lot of kif then that would be cool. I find after about an ounce you have enough to top a few bowls.. it's not a huge amount.. but it's enough to make it worth having.

Mine cost $20.. it's small.. aluminum (not plastic or wood) with the store's name I bought it printed on the top... if I lost mine today.. I would go buy another one tomorrow. I used to use fingers or scissors up until I bought this as my first one.

Definitely enjoy owning my grinder which is a sharp stone. As far as keif collection, it is just a nice bonus. It would've been wasted if broken up by hand anyway. But as cowell said, it builds up keif pretty slowly. I mainly use my grinder for vaping but also will use it for Js and blunts. Prolly grind up about 2gs a day and by the end of the week I have a bowl topper or two. Honestly, I can't really tell much of a difference smoking a keif topped bowl vs plain so I usually just top a bowl and let a friend hit it. Gets their eyes light up all bright seeing a nice little keif pile on a bowl, then you give them greens too and they love you forever lol

i have a sharpstone, it grinds up your herb and theres a keif catcher, they come in a lot of sizes
i've been told you dont want to get a cheap grinder because you can get metal shavings in your weed because they are cheap, but idk about that. I've also heard space case is the top of the line, but my sharpstone seems to work great


you dont NEED a grinder, especially if you don't roll j's or blunts, if you just use bowls, bongs, vapes, than i'd just use scissors, which dont catch keif, but you use them enough, and you'll get a build up of thc on the blades and you can make scissor hash! and you dont have to touch it and lose any thc on your fingers.

They second as a keif catcher. The primary purpose of it is to grind the herb.

I dunno about the pollen presser but I've got a cheapo chrystal-catcher I found somewhere for a fiver - I've basically used it exclusively on about an ounce-and-a-half of weed and I've not got a lot but I've got SOME which would've been wasted so I guess its good for "dry period emergency rations" (not that I ever see that happening, but still - mixed with sugar leaves and made into hash it'll be good)
