While I am new to growing this type of plant I have been growing vegetables for years. Trying to move a plant from dirt to hydro is a bad shock for a plant. You would have done better to cut open the cup and transplant root ball and all to a bigger pot of dirt. Yes I know this is a old post I am responding too but stumbled across it for drip system info.
