hempy bucket 100% perlite?

is it possible to make a hempy bucket with 100% perlite? right now im using a hempy bucket with about 65 perlite 35% vermiculite and i think the vermiculite is holding too much moisture making it droopy and overwatered. Would having a medium that is 100% perlite(besides the rockwool) make it alot harder to overwater?
Also would the abiltiy of the pure perlite to dry out so quick make it good for root growth?
