Hemp fields pollinating females

I have it on good authority that hemp fields are turning female plants hermie.
Where I am in southern ontario(Brantford) everyone I know has had their plants turn hermie and the likely Culprit is the massive amount of industrial hemp fields.
Does anyone else have more info on the possibility of hemp pollinating female Cannabis plants?
Thanks

I don't know how some flying pollen will "turn plants hermie," but the pollen will pollinate your females. If female plants are pollinated, then they will produce seeds so there is no reason for them to produce pollen sacks, unless the plant is a hermie already.

Just who is this "good authority" that you are talking about? You should stop listening to them!

So a female being pollinated and then produces seeds, is not considered hermie?

No, a female being pollinated by a male's pollen is the way nature planned it. That's how seeds are made in an annual plant.

A "hermie"-- short for hermaphrodite -- is a female plant that also produces male pollen sacks. A true hermie will have female flowers and about halfway through flowering will also have male pollen sacks. That pollen will usually carry the hermie trait forward to it's offspring.

Sometimes when we flower a female plant to make sensimilla, which means without seeds, the plant will spit out a couple of pollen sacks in late flowering as an environmental reaction to not being pollinated, and those female plants are not actually hermies.

Hemp fields are turning some of the guys around there into hermaphrodites maybe? That and too much side meat.

Island I'm on has a growing hemp seed industry. Outdoor growers the last few seasons have been complaining about pollinated crops, off spring is hermi prone which makes sense as the best way to grow hemp seed is with hermi plants.

hey buddy I'm also from Brantford and there is hemp growing everywhere on the outskirts of the city in every direction. EVERYBODY'S outdoor has been pollinated from the HEMP. my bud has, all of my buddies and now you aswell. all you can do is let it finish and just pick the seeds out. the seeds should be garbage because they would be whatever strain you grew X whatever the hemp is (I'm not sure if hemp has strains for better genetics or whatever) but to your question YES your plants got pollinated NO they are not hermie but YES your swollen calyxes will all have seed. it sucks and this problem will only get worse with more hemp fields...even bringing the pollen on your clothes to an indoor grow will mess them up... sorry for the bad news buddy...
