It's up to you, the larger the roots are allowed to grow generally the healthier and stronger the plant. From experience with past grows i know a 5 gallon container is a good size for the size of plants i grow, easy to move and holds enough water so im not constantly watering. If youre going to be vegging longer then I would transplant to a larger size.

What size is your air pot?
You can grow trees in a 2.4 gallon air pot.
The roots are supposed to go to the holes and the bottom so they can air prune themselves.........that's the whole concept of air pots and fabric pots.

Fabric pots have no holes and no roots usually don’t go threw fabric pots.

Air pots want you to be putting the bottom on 3 rows up so this doesn’t happen, I still do mine on the first or second because I’m on a well drained flood table inside
Outside I would expect roots to try and hit the ground if the bottom was put on too low

I would guess the roots are reaching out to try and suck up the water in the saucer

Wow. Some root ball. What genetics and what nutes ? You stil in veg ??
I think so! Nirvana, bubblicious. I'm 27 days in flower. Ok so I use plain potting soil, with perlite and vermicompost to start. And here it comes....MG and scotts...bahaha, I know, but ive got them dialed in pretty good with that stuff. I use all purpose during veg, and the bloom during flower, and stop at 7 weeks and flush for 2 (I also use morbloom 0-10-10 once a week from week 3-7). And PHD tap water, out tap water is very good at 7.0-7.1 consistently, thats it. She's about 9 weeks to finish. During the transition from veg to flower I give it vermicompost tea. Im no super star grower, hobby grower for my own stash I'm going to post my entire grow all at once when done....will be my first grow journal.

Thanks. I use fabric. What do you like better. I also never use saucers. If I do I remove after feeding.
Just curious, is that your preference, or do you have some insight on reason they shouldn't be used? I truly don't know if one way is better than the other. I always want to learn more though. Peace!
