HELP1 outdoor heat

Hi everyone, longtime reader, first time posting. i have some experience indoors in hydro, but am now trying to master outdoor in soil as nature intended.first my set up:
- 1 chem 4 og (cali connection seeds) mother is grown indoors as a bonsai mother in deep water culture hydro under a cfl light 24 hr cycle.( i do believe plants need the 6hrs of darkness but the constant light is to induce flowering once the plants are moved outdoors where the longest days are only 16 hrs)
- homemade aeroponic cloner under a t5 flourecent 24 hr cycle
- clones moved outdoors into the shade for a week to harden in 1gal pots to build a root ball then transplanted into10 gal pots to flower planted in subcool's supersoil mix 2010 watered with plain water. once a week dosed with 1tblspoon molassas per gallon
trouble is i live in a horrible climate for cannabis. regularly day temperatures hit the high 90s sometimes in the 100s, for the past month and a half it hasnt dropped below 90 except at night. i know cannabis is a sun loving plant, but temperatures are so high i fear its stressing the plants. Im not certain but i feel like they may be growing better in the shade, i know they wont keep up with the hydro but i like to see noticable vigorous growth and i feel like they could be doing better, im not willing to add more nutrients as i feel this will burn them, my ph is fine although im not sure about the ph change from hydro to soil but they seem to react well when transplanted as long as there shaded. i water once daily even in ten gallon pot, due to the heat they dry out fast.

so i guess my question is this, in my climate would a plant prefer sun or shade? or maybe a combination of the two based on time of day or week of flower. if someone with experience could outline this i would be very appreciative. also any hot climate grow tips are welcomed.

thanks again, namtih024

ps: id post pics but they look fine there just growing a little slowly, and for all you expert growers out there they told me they were slightly unhappy

If I were you I'd consider sativas or sativa dom for you climate. Put a screen over it on poles like a tent to shade in the hotest part of the day.

thanks guys for the help, i think the heat stress is coming mainly from the pots i will definitely try a combination of the two

I wouldn't over think things. Put mylar on the base of the pot to reflect the sun away from the roots. Let nature do its thing.

OP just put a mulch on and you will be fine. It will shade the soil and help retain moisture longer. Not sure where some of these ideas come from. Keepem green dirrtyd

i thought the 90s n 100s werent bad for cannabis cuz that means the suns out haha i think thats good weather for most plants as long as there watered enough and not too much

cannabis grows best at 75 degrees during the day and 65 degrees at night, high heat will severely reduce yeild

Haha i have the exact opposite of you, i have cool temps an tons of rain this season, an like nam said if you can keep the pots and well roots cool, dig the pots into the ground thus keeping the roots cooler

trippn shit takes off when it goes over 80 or even passed 90 cuz it makes the plant eat more and drink more plus when its flowering time the temps are back down to the 80s im talking about veg growth shit takes the fuck off in hi hi hheat im talking 95-100

Not sure what the problem is. My plants just went through a week of 100 plus and upper 90's all week at about 15 % humidity my plants didnt wilt, droop or show any signs that the heat was bothering them, they actually grew quit well this last week. My plants are in 30 gallon smart pots that are black and they are in full/direct sun 10 plus hrs a day and are in the direct sun until about 7 at night. I have to constatly water them, if they have water they will be fine, lack of water at those temps and bad things happen pretty fast.

ya man i have to keep them watered really well. even my 10 gallon pots require about a gallon a day of water. there growing still at a decent pace but as an indoor grower i have seen crazy fast growth, i know that they will not keep up with my hydro no matter what i do, but id like to keep them as happy as possible (because the plant has kept me happy for some 9-10 years i can only return the favor) i only posted this post because i supply clones to my close friends, one of which had great success with his, better than my own, so this lead me to compare and contrast the factors that could have influenced his giant plant (aside from luck) the main thing i could conclude was some form of heat stress. i am still new to outdoor cultivation and am still fine tuning my grow.
so far i have decided to protect my pots/ roots from the heat before the plant itself. it makes sense.
thanks again everyone, keep posting if you have any suggestions
