Help guys, I'm a new grower, got limited space, think 80cm x 80cm x 160cm tent, would a 400watt hps be Ok? And would that be enough space and light for 2 decent size plants? Going to stay away from sativa because of the height. Growing in nft hydro. Any help would be much appreciated

Not sure on cm, I'm in the us and use ft. I have a 4x4x7 ft tent and use a 400 watt and as long as i keep it vented it works great. If i stop my fan the heat builds up quite a bit.

Top of the tent is only 5 feet 2 inches. Very limited space ie I would need to take the roof off my house to get more room lol

If u have cold air intake and exhausted the hot air out u can put 400watts in there easy and 4 big plants. Im growing in a 2x2x5 with a small light and three plants and at first i struggled with heat big time

Thanks gunnar, is heat exhausted through the carbon filter or is that just smell? I've watched loads of videos but I know it's all trial and error.

Sound bro, will just run an empty tent for a couple of days see what kinda heat am dealing with n sort it before I start

Wont work the same man u will get different temps and humidity levels when u add plants and ur soil like i said just start growing and fix what u have to, the first crop u have wont be the best but its all about fixing everything perfectly so u can grow without any environmental issues

True mate Didnt even think of that lol total novice, would I perhaps be better off with a mars2 led light to solve any heat issues? Money for equipment ain't a problems, space is more of a problem

Could you not fit a 120×80x180 or a 120x60x160 ? and you will need a intake and outlet i run a 80x80x160 for clones with a T5 and need outlet because of heat in the summer don't set out to fail get a 5inch outlet with (carbonFilter) and 4inch inlet from the freshair and put laddies tights on the inlet to stop sucking any think crap into your setup also use a cool tubes will helo alot

Everything i read says when u equal wattage amounts it produces about the same heat, id go with hps tho it will give u amazing results but in the end its up to u

Could get a 120 x 60 x 160 to fit iN. Would defo prefer HPS to led but being a noob the heat worries me me, live in scotland so suppose that helps as got an abundance of cold air outside the tent lol. Cheers for all the info

To be honest first time grower i would use biobizz soil and canna bio line nutes keep it real simple but real good stuff

Yes definitely you can get a 120x60x180 or a 120x60x200 or 120x80x180 all depending on your hight space the highest you can fit the better for heat
