Plants will triple in size during flowering.
So depending on how high your closet is, and how you will train them, do the math.
Look... I know your new, and want to learn.. joining the forums is a great start.
READ THREADS!!
All the questions you are asking are already answered in the forums.
Before you concern yourself with super yields, and advanced training techniques..
... try to get your plants into veg first.
Get some soil, and lights, then take it from there.
Good Luck!

Terrible advise.
Start flowering when they are a couple inches?
Its better to let it veg for at least 3 or 4 weeks, let it develop a root system, and some branches.
And you are talking about flushing when the guy got seeds in a paper towel?

Best advise.. (in order)
1. buy some soil and cups/pots
2. set up a couple CFLs
3. READ FORUMS, research better soils and lights while your babies begin growing.

Plant the seeds in solo cups with a neutral soil (low or no fertilzer) or a basic potting soil with more N than P-K. Better for veg, fox farms happy frog or fox farms light warrior are a good choice, keep the plant under a 6500k cfl, typically the higher watt, the better. Make sure u have good air circulation, 6500k is better for veg and 2700k is better for flowering. U want atleast 10,000 lumens per square foot, thats the ideal amount of lumens ive read atleast.
