Help

Hello everyone,
I'm new here and need some advice. I'm going to home depot to buy supplies for a grow room (an area of the room). I have an aerogarden for my plants but I'm needing more lights and stuff. I want to make this as stealth as possible. If you have any ideas of things I need to buy please bring on your comments. To include nutrients/food, etc. I'll need. I would really appreciate it. This is my first grow so I'm not that educated just yet. I know the basics, but definitly no green thumb here. So I may not understand the technical terms. Thanks to everyone in advance. By the way this site F***ing rocks!!!!!!

Do you ahve a budget? How large of an area? How many plants? Define stealth? From who wil you be hiding this grow?

I will be online for a while and will look for your reply. There are many on here who know more than I, but I will share with you what I know.

How many in. do I put the seed in the dirt?

I germinate in a wet paper towel between two plates and placed in a warm place. Someone suggested the top of a Computer monitor. I use the top of my espresso machine.

Yea, unfortunatly I do have a budget, for now. I have 7 plants in my little aerogarden. I need to hide the set up probably in my closet away from the family. I do not live with my parents if your thinking that. I have my own place. As far as space goes, well I have a big walk in closet for now. Basically I need a set up to accomadate my aerogarden. I was thinking about sectioning off an area in my closet. It's a big closet. I need it to be "stealth" so when people come in to visit or we have a party and they walk in looking for the bath room they don't stumble on my garden. You have to go through my bathroom to get to my closet. Does that help. Oh as far as budget goes, cheap but works well.

When you go to Home Depot, why not buy a good dead-bolt lock for the closet door? The lock, along with some good odor control should keep the pests out. A

just go buy a big sheet of drywall, and make a false wall, and have the garden behind it....just put the drywall on hinges or something. ( you might need to attach the drywall to thin plywood or something).
or just hang a huge dark sheet, and put stuff infront of it, so it just looks like the end of your closet.

Fake wall.....I like that idea. F*** yea!!!! How big would it need to be to house say 8 plants? I'm bad at math, that's why I'm asking. Be nice......

I think you might be wrong. Maybe the wife can come in handy later.lol

I have had two wives... they gave me great kids... not sure I would call them handy though.

but yea if your going to build a false wall/big door,
the size of the false wall, will depend on the size of your walk in closet.....so just measure it, and....figure it out.
i think you will need atleast 3 feet inbetween the real wall, and the false wall, and then whatever the height and width is.

Well I havn't had any yet so I guess I will just have to wait and find out.

hey every body This your boy Vegas and I'm the weedman but I need help growing my plants.. I got them in a fish tank and their r about 7 in their but i just put them in yesterday with a flor. light over them. How long should i keep the light on and when should I add water.

if you are still in vegg. cycle. then give them 18 hours of light...and 6 hours of dark.
i would water them every other day...thats what i do.
and when you water them, water it so that, water comes out the bottom of the container....then wait a day to let it dry up...then repete.

I will follow thread for sure. I'm going to go with a set up like yours and put my babies in there. But I'm using aeroponics, not soil. Hell, I may just do both. But I'm all ears.....

Oh, my lights are programmed for 16 on and 8 off. Is this ok for germination? If not how should I go about the lights?

Do you ahve your aeroponics system in place now? Never done it, but looks like some hard core shit. Is it not a bit complicated? Ever used it before?
