You don't really need to do anything everything in weed is a preference, what do you hope to achieve, big yield? Or are you happy with small, do you have the time for LST, there is a lot of info on this site about it. Welcome to RUI and good luck.

Welcome aboard. I grow outdoor as well, my crop is placed on the south side of a barn. Facing the south gives the ladies the east and west sun exposure as well. I grow in 10 gal fabric pots setting in a saucer to catch the ppm runoff. My medium consists of quality soil, cocca cure, vermiculite, perlite and worm casings, I feed with Mega Crop and water with 6.5 well water. I don't worry about height, but I try to keep my crops no taller that 6' by cropping.
Good luck

The only thing I do on outdoor grows is using some caging to give the plant support.
I find that's really important as the plant gets BIG.
I will train branches around the perimeter to grow through the cages as support but that's pretty much it.

Here in north Florida, our biggest concern is warm evenings during flowering, even though I grow outdoor, if I dont put a fan on the girls, mold develops. Don't worry about height, I live in a very rural county.
