So im currently at the end of week 11 with my 2 NL autos, buds have fattened up quite a bit in last few weeks. Would appreciate some help telling how far im away from flush:weed:

First two pics are of the first plant, other two are of the second.

thanks man:D its my first crack at this so im not too knowledgeable! i guess not flushing would make things a little easier, do you continue to use a flower booster & bloom in same quantities right to the end?

I flush because I use tap water, too much salt build up along with feeding every watering. I dunwana taste dat shit! People that do flush say start 2 weeks before you harvest. I think that is really only if you flush with distilled water. If you are using a flushing solution such as "Final Flush", you can feed up till 3 or so days before chop, then flush.

I flushed hardcore this time just because I felt there was so much salt build up. I started flush at week 6 of flower on an 8 week strain AND used "Final Flush". I'm now gradually giving them distilled water with "Bud Candy" at 4x the recommended dose for a sugar soak to see if it will help bring out the terps and trichs more. I also toned down my flowering time to 10hours on and 14 hours off instead of 12/12 for the last 2 weeks, have let my cold intake run when lights are off and will be inducing pure darkness the last 2 days as well as the final sugar soak, makes for a longer drying time but they will fatten up more and the trichs will come out more. Hoping the flush and sugar soak really do the terps well.

this is easily one of the biggest debates between well informed growers. personally i flush and can certainly tell the difference. but many swear that they dont and cant tell a difference. I use pk boosters too (dont lynch me fellas please) lol.

@Daggy Yep! 90 days from seed the packet said, but i had some problems in the start being too eager with potting up and nutes:roll: resilient little things pulled through in the end!

@GibbsIt89 i have a 'flush' from Hydrotops my local hydro store sold me, would that be the equivalent to 'final flush'? Have heard good thing about AN, got my bottles on the way for next time:lol:

This! So many new growers fuck up becausetheyre told to flush and then flush at the wrongtime. If you havemultiple plants, try flushing one, and not another. Judge the end product for yourself. Ive grown in soil, coco, and hydro, and done side by side tests with each, flushing never did anything beneficial.

Thanks to you all for the input so far, can be hard starting out, everything is still new to me! Definitely considering skipping on the flush, think im going to read more into it, sure there's plenty of topics on here already!

On a side note, any rough ideas how long im away from harvest? Don't want to rush things, but im itching to smoke it up!:bigjoint: not too long now i hope!

Are your plants healthy & happy right now ?

Would you prefer your plants last week of life to be productive where the plants are happy & making bud ?

If the answers were yes than dont flush, makes zero difference except to waterlog the medium & cause the plants discomfort, rinsing the grow medium will do nothing to quicken the plants ability to use up nutrients within the plant.

Keep feeding them right up until the day you chop , i grow flood n drain hydroponics & feed until the very end & did the same when i grew soil , alot of growth takes place within that last 7-10 days & water logging the medium or starving the plants isnt gonna make fatter buds .

@panhead This makes sense, my concerns were with the taste of the final product, but the general consensus seems to be that there is little to no difference. Guess its a no brainer :)

You need to check your run off EC then make a determination from there....some people feed hard without run off and salts will build up in the medium...good luck
