help with tiny white flies

I posted this earlier under problem with plants, and after about 110 views and no responses it disappeared. Maybe because I posted it in the wrong place? If a post gets deleted, does no one email you to tell you why? Strange. Any way let's try again.

I have a DWC, pretty big plant. In about it's 7th week of flowering. Maybe half way through for this particular strain. The thing is infested with tiny white flys and I can't seem to get rid of them. I tried using a couple teaspoons of neem oil and a few drops of natural soap in a quart spray bottle of water. That doesn't appear to be working at all.

Has anyone had this issue and conquered it??

It's just one single plant in a DWC, inside, under a 400 watt HPS. I had some soil plants that I have harvested and am sure that's where they originally came from. PLEASE HELP!!!

Thank you!!

At this stage of your plants life, you should just try to manage the adult population with sticky traps and good airflow.
For future grows use predator nematodes as a preventative measure, or diatomaceous earth, both will kill larva of most flies.

I am just about finished with my grow and I have had whites flies the whole it and they suck. It starts with just a few and if you dont do something right then to kill then they go crazy. Get some Mighty Wash and Power Wash and treat the plants, they are safe to use in flower with ill effects get some White Fly and Gnat sticky traps. These will help thin them out a lot. They are born pregnant so it is an up hill battle. Good air flow helps a lot as well. I will shake may plants a few times a day this makes the flies fly off the plants and a lot will go right to the sticky traps. They dont like cooler temps either but that can be hard to achieve in a small grow space. After your grow is done be sure to clean out the space really well and bug bomb the area as well.

i turned my vacuum down to like 1/4 strength and sucked them away, used fly strips, put sand on the soil about 1/4 inch to cover the soil as the babies won't be able to climb out thru it and then used organocide. then and ONLY then was i able to get rid of them (still cursing my nephew for bringing his outdoor plants into my grow areas) :eyesmoke:

occasionally, u get a problem that calls for alternative measures. if the plants are young, i've killed white flies with liquid Sevin. it does the trick. as i said, i do this only as a last resort. GL

White flies are a big pain in the ass. I was able to control them using Abamectin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abamectin)
I have killed thrips, spider mites and white flies with it. This stuff can be used up to 28 days to harvest. Late for Your 7th week plant.
And I hope You won't need it next time.

Always post a picture of the pest and damage if you want help. (it makes it soooooooooooooo much easier)
text Descriptions aren't that accurate if you haven't studied insects/entomology.

Do they look like this?
220px-Weisse-Fliege.jpgwfly16b.jpgstrainb2.jpg

How large is the infestation?

LOTS of yellow sticky cards can help drop the adult population as they are attracted to the cards.
You can also release beneficial insects as biocontrol.

Orius insidiosus- a general predator that will go after whitefly nymph's. Not your first choice unless you have other pests such as thrips.
Delphastus pusillus- whitefly egg predator
Encasia formosa- whitefly parasitiod
Eretmocerus- whitefly
parasitiod

Yellow sticky cards and one of the two parasitiods is your best bet.
Why does everyone here jump to pesticides?
