Help with RSO.... first attempt...

I decided to try my hand at making RSO and it didn't turn out too well.
The END product was a tar-like substance.
I would have expected the alcohol to have all evaporated but when I put some on a toothpick and hold it over a flame it crackles like a 4th of July sparkler.
I would have expected something that looks more like oil than tar.

Process:
I used a lot of the lower buds from my last harvest and baked them in the oven until dried. At 230 degrees it took about 90 minutes.
I broke it all up into smaller peices and gave it a quick chop in a food processor.
I couldn't find any consumable alcohol greater than 75% Everclear so I used that and soaked it for 24 hours.
Today I strained it with a fine metal strainer and then rinsed it some with more everclear and strained it again.
I then put it in the rice cooker until it evaporated... leaving the tar.

Is my yield normal? Is it supposed to be like that? Can it be fixed?
What should I have done differently?
I doubt I would be able to suck this stuff up in a syringe, can I store it pressed in wax paper like "wax"?

The process you used will result in a funky tar.
The finer you break up the plant material, more chlorophyll and waxes are extracted during your wash. Not good
Cold is your friend in this process-water is not. You will get much better results with 95% alc because of less water to absorb chlorophyll. I also suspect you may have evaporated the tincture at to high a temp with your rice cooker. Ultimately, without some way to vacuum purge the oil it will always be a bit runny.

Attached is how we do it.

Don't chop up fine. Use at least 95% ethanol. Drop the temperature. Control the soak time.

The crackle is water. You aren't fully purged.
