Help with problem

I have a little problem. During the hot days my plant box gets to 90 degrees so i was wondering if i could use a clear plexi glass plastic kinda thing to seprate my lights and my plant space so i could vent the hot from the cfls so this brings me to my question would this not b ok cause it would take away sum of my light power??idk?? Or sumthin esle i hope it will work cause it would b awesumen to seprate my plants from sum of my lights heat

Without any details, it's hard to tell you what might work and what wouldn't, but if you pull in cool air from low, and exhaust air out high, you will help in venting out some of the heated air from the light.

yeah you can do it but like you said gonna block some light i did that in a clone/seedling box i just made

Damn I wish I could actually type. I had a box a little over 4 feet tall, 3 feet wide and maybe 2feet thick. I had a 250hps, that was the only thing in the lower box with the plants. The box was compartmentalized so the top 1 foot held the fan and the filter. The carbon filter itself was in it's own box which was open, but faced the back. Confused yet? My light had the option for glass so I put a piece in that was smaller then the opening that way I could pull air through the light yet trap most of the heat, ran a 4inch flex tube from the light to the squirrel fan that is in the top compartment. From there it would push the air through the carbon filter which was in it's own box, picture a shoebox without a lid on it's side. So if you came in my shed you would see some kind of storage box and wouldn't think to much of it, but you could put your hand behind the box and feel the air coming out of the scrubber. Probably didn't help i'm just proud of my engineering. NASA has there little shuttle thing, I have this. lol
