Last year I put out 18 plants ,Some 100 miles away in the middle of nowhere.
All but 5 were dug up , not once but buried them 3-4 times and in the Am something had dug them up :wall:
I used FF Ocean forest was that the cause due to the fish in the soil? Is there any soil that is better then another?
Please HELP
Thanks

you're gonna have to be a little more specific if you want help. What time of year was it? Were the plants still there, or were they hauled off? What about your grow area. Mountain terrain, flatland, open field, near water,etc.,etc. What if any kind of wild animal haunt that area? A lot of info is required to help determine your tormentor!

did it look like a tool dug them up or a animal, were there any foot prints in the area, you need to watch for deer hunters

The Fox Farm soil you used has organic amendments like bonemeal, bloodmeal, or fishmeal that makes critters go crazy...

They will dig up freshly planted seedlings because they smell good stuff in the soil. So they are in search of a meal, and they dig in your hole.

To avoid having your plants dug up animals you have to amend your holes at least a month before you plant a seedling in it.

This allows the nearby animals to explore the smell and your spot and learn that it is not a food source. After they dig it up a few times and find nothing they will stop bothering with it. And the smell will weaken as well.

Organic soils like you used need this period of time to "Cook" anyway. What that means is your microherd uses this time to establish itself. It will start to break down the NPK and Trace elements from the amendments.

Any outdoor pot plant will have, or should have, soft soil around it, and an array of interesting odors, like fish emulsion, worm casting, etc.. A Bear or a Coon, what the hell was it. See "dirtdoctor.com., index, and pull up all the vermin's you think may have dug up your shit, and go accordingly. A ring of latex dipped chicken wire around each may/would help. Not regular CW, the choppers see that from what I hear. I've got dark blue chicken wire. Hope this helped, good luck.
