Help with my 1st SIP using Coast of Maine

Hi all,

I am finally getting my first tent up an running. I was going to fill 2 Earthboxes following a bit of the BAS methodology.

I am using COM Castine Blend as the base. It is 40-50% peat, and unspecified percentages of the rest: fully cured cow manure, biochar(2%) worm castings, dehydrated poultry manure, kelp meal, lobster meal, greensand, lime, and mycorrhizae.

I was planning on mixing in part Penobscot Compost ( 75% fish, blueberry and musscle shell compost mixed with 25% peat), part worm castings, and some perilite and or coco for aeration (already have the coco.) Also bokashi and 50/50 neem/karanga.

Am i overthinking it? Is any of the extra needed?

Also will be using EM-1 and ACTs throughout.

Any advice /input is greatly appreciated.

I would say it's a bit heavy on peat, and a bit light on aeration (though you didn't specify a coco/perlite percentage). I would back off the COM Castine and put extra perlite.

Otherwise, looks alright to me.
