Help With Lighting!!!

My box is 16d x 25w x 37h. I will veg three plants and flower one. I have 3 42w CFLs and a 70w hps. For veg would it be better to use all three cfls or 2 cfls and the 70w hps? I plan on getting one more 70w hps for flowering. Heat should not be a problem with 2 110cfm pc fans for exghaust. What do you guys think?

If the heat will not be a problem then use everything you have!! You can never have enough light. Even though HPS is preferably used during the flowering stage, it will most certainly do the job for vegging. Use those CFLs for side lighting. See if you can get a metal halide conversion bulb to put in place of the HPS bulb, then switch to HPS in flowering. If you can't then don't worry about it. All should be good!! Good luck!!!

if heat isnt an issue or you can handle getting it cool why waste money on all that stuff just buy a 400 watt hps or at least a 250 watt hps for cheaper then that stuff??Thats just me though

I do have a 250 hps and a 250mh but i want to keep my entire grow under 200watts. This includes pumps fans ect.. I have read the lighting GrowFAQs. I found out today that my 3 42w cfls are 2700lum 2700K so I will have to find some 6500k cfls. I think that these will be lower in wattage so i may get 4 or 5. Since this is the case I think I will use one of the 42w 2700k and a couple of the smaller wattage 6500k cfls for veg. Any other ideas?
