Help with Lighting

I was wondering what is a good time schedule to keep my light on for my 5 plants which are about 9 inches - 12 inches tall. I have aluminum foil up and have read that that is a bad move. I also notice on some plants that there are yellow-brownish spots. When do I know that they are ready to flower. Forgive me for I am now at this. I have a double window fan in my small growing room set on exaust..should I put that on intake..I notice my plants blow somewhat rapid with that on and am not sure it is safe. Thanks and again forgive me for my beginnerism.

aluminum foil is no good due to the fact it creates hot spots I would paint walls white or get some mylar which could be found at party shops or a fa

I flowered mine at 12" as I figured they would double in size, and mght go even higher, if they get too big, you'll have other problems. Like getting light to your huge ass plant. They ended up around 32 inches.
Hope that helps.
Peace

Well my friend you can flower whenever you feel like it. I would make sure you have at LEAST 5 nodes on your plant before you do, but if you lack the time to do that then FLOWER AWAY!! As for your plant problem it almost sounds like over-nuting, but I can never be too sure without pics. Check out this site. Hopefully it will help you out with your discoloration problem. Good Luck.
