Help with light decision!!

well tommrow i am going to change my lights to CFLS

now i currently got a 3 foot tube grow light which put out a total of 3500 lumens and want to switch it to a T5 , t12,t8 whatever i have no idea i saw these t5 daylight ones 30watts now i wanna know is it better than my current light?


i am also going to buy 5 CFLS now i read everything about CFLS here and its still a debate to go with the 42watt ones with more lumens but only 2600ks....and the 26watts give less lumens but more spectrum like 6500ks IM STUCK I DONT KNOW WHAT ONES TO GET PLEASE HELP?

I myself use only CFL and have great grows(first grow one plant 2 ounces). I was going to use tubes but all the room that it takes up was just a waste. Here is a pic of my last grow with CFL only and 7 plants. Each plant gave me 3/4 to 1.5 ounces per plant..

dammmn thats pretty nice.........well i went to the store today got 4x42watt CFLS now i know they dont have too many K's each so what i did is took my aquairum light and went to the fish store and got a bulb that produces 18000ks and set that up im getin pics soon do you think that is enough for now?

2700k (green package lightblubs) are for growing buds during flowering. you should get some of those in 42 watts, i just did today.

And blue package ones are for vegetative growth
