Help with light and cloning for new grow.

Hello.
I have a 3 x 3 x 6 feet flowering chamber and I want to get max yield out of this space.
I am planning to get an air cooled HPS but can't decide between a 400W and 600W model.
It seems a 600W would produce the required amount of light but will it be too hot even with 6" air cooling?

Also I am looking for a nice easy cloning tray or kit. I will be cloning around 8 clones at a time so I need something small and somewhat inexpensive.

Any help is appreciated.

I use a 4 inch fan to pull air from my hood w/ a 400 watt HPS, works fine.

For the easiest cloning you can use a bubble cloner, there a bunch of how to's here if you do a search. Or you can simply use soil, heating pad and a dome.
Just make sure that while the clones are rooting you use CFL's for light, an intense light source wont help the clones while they are rooting.

I would go with the 400 watt for the small space ur using. If you get to high in wattage you will have heat problems. If it is air cooled you might be able to pull off 600 watt but u will need also regular room ventilation probably ( a regular cheapo fan would be fine probably). I got a cloning tray with coco peat in it that holds 50-60 clones with a dome and all that for about 4-6 dollars at my local hydro store. If there aren't any hydro stores in the area go online and look up humidity dome, that is the best thing to look for.

I think the 600 is fine for that space, as long as you exhaust the heat from the light.
The cloner looks to be the same I used for a while, worked great I never lost a clone; not one.

I have a perpetual grow, kinda like you plan. I harvest every month now. You can stagger your harvests to whatever time span you want. I was going weekly for a while but it got to be alot of work and keeping canopy control was impossible in my small space.

Great feedback.
Thanks a lot.

I will probably go with the 400W lamp and a 4" duct.

Also Ink, I was planning on taking my cuttings from the plants in my grow chamber right before they go to the flowering chamber. This should work right?
I am growing from quality feminized seeds.

I let mine recover for 10-14 days after I cut them before I flower. Taking cuttings stresses the plant a little, id rather be safe and not stress it again by changing the light cycle right away.
I haven't had a plant go Hermie this way so i stick w/ it.
