help with exhaust

I don't have any kind of HVAC system in my house because it used electric heaters.

All I have is a window in the room and was going to have to vent out of that, my question was how can I completely seal off a window while exhausting out of it?

I was thinking of just getting a piece of plywood or drywall, measure the window, cut a hole in the materal and place it up against the window.
After that just duct tape it air tight and attach the Ducting to the hole and duct tape that.

I did pretty much what you said. I put a piece of plywood to cover the window that had a 6" hole in it for my exhaust, weatherstripped it and screwed it into the wall. I only had the bottom half of the window covered so I stuffed a bunch of towels in the top to seal it. Helped with not having too much turbulent airflow within the area of the whole window, kind of a more direct path out. Worked really well, unfortunately I needed the window for an ac so now my exhaust is vented straight up into the attic.

Nice, well I'm legal so no worries there haha. But that's dope it worked, now I can finally finish up this building process and FINALLY plant the little guys.
