Help with DIY ScrOG

Howdy.

I'm just beginning my first grow.

Plants: 4 ICE seeds, not feminized or cloned so it may end up being 1-4 plants

Grow space: 4 x 2 x 4 feet

Light: 3 3/4th feet long 18000 lumen 234 watt T5

Method of growing: Hydroponic with one of those little Stealth Bubbleponics kits (I'm just using this thing for my first 1 or 2 grows, I will be building my own system once I get some experience)

Other: I want to do some LST and make it a ScrOG in order to fully utilize my grow space and light

I think I've got pretty much everything I need except for finding a way to build the support for the screen. I have screen itself, but I need to figure out a cheap, somewhat easy way to rig it to the top of the bubbleponics system.

Here are the dimensions of the system:

Length: 20.5 inches
Width: 14.125 inches
Height: 12.5 inches

I'd like to make the screen (I can cut it any size) at least 3 feet wide and 18 inches deep. I've read some methods of building your own ScrOG set up and have seen some pictures (modular setups etc.), but I haven't seen anything that starts with such a small base to support such a big screen.

I don't have much moolah to throw at this part of the grow, and am also not a handyman. I have a power drill, a hammer, some nails, some wire clothes hangers, and the regular stuff you could imagine laying around the house.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I was thinking of trying to support the screen by attaching 4 wire hangers to the lid...somehow...? lol

Also, I already have very small sprouts in the system (like 2 days old) so I actually can't get too invasive on how I attach the support to the lid.

For the record: I know clones are better but I don't have the means to work with them right now. I also know the 6 gallon hydro system I'm using is small and will be difficult to grow any more than 2 plants in, but since I'm using regular seeds there's a good chance I'll only end up with 2 anyway.

Any help/suggestions/advice is appreciated.

I think so, but I'll check it out again. I just haven't seen anything about my particular issue (trying to make a cheap lightweight support system that's both a lot smaller at its base than its top and connect to a hydroponic system's lid).

Thanks.

Yup, I have read that btw. I've got the Scrogorama and read about Scrogging here and at a couple other forums for a few weeks before I got started on it.

For some reason I was thinking at first that I could just put up a screen in the growbox, but then it dawned on me that I would have to...you know...change out the res. At first I thought it would work because I have a drainage plug in the res, but in order to utilize my space the res sits on the ground, making it difficult to use the plug.

Anyhow, the point of all this (haha) is that I think I've got a good working knowledge of ScrOGs in general, but I'm not much of a handyman so I'm just not sure how to manufacture the support for the screen so that it attaches to the lid of the hydroponic kit basically. I said earlier that I didn't want to get too invasive, but the seedlings are so small I can just yank the netpots out, attach the screen to the lid, and then put them back in without any trouble at this point (before the roots get long enough to make their way through the rockwool).

So, in sum: I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on a good homemade way to build a support system for a Scrog screen that is about a foot high, starts at a base that's only 20 inches long, and ends up at the top as being about 40 inches long. And I think anywhere between 14-20 inches depth is good.

Am I explaining myself alright? Basically trying to find a way to attach a Scr0G to a bubbleponics kit's lid so that the screen itself is about 3 1/2 feet by 1 1/2 feet and is raised off the lid by about a foot or so.

Again, any help is appreciated. I'm just not much of a handyman type mofo. I can take computers apart and put them back together, but I'm having trouble coming up with a way to support a screen with household items.

Did u come up with anything?

Maybe a fence with straight lines instead of the square fences
So that you can slide the plants right out of your box with out attching it to your lid.

Your already half way there. You say yu have buckets with spigots on them but they're close to the ground making them hard to use. Well all you have to do is find a small aquarium pump with an intake connection where you can hook up a tube. Then hook up the other end to the spigot on the bucket.
Then just open the spigot, turn on the pump, and drain your bucket that way. You can fill your buckets that way too.

wtf is this? Quality post, bro, thanks for the help....... Periods exist. The button is two buttons right of your "m" key on your board. The comma key is one button to the right, but let's not get into that. That's in the advanced course. Practice using periods and get back to me.
