Help with cloning

So I need some help with taking clones.

I want to use an older bigger branch but because of a lack of nutes for a bit, the 4 oldest branches all have necrosis. They are doing fine now but still have dead spots. The healthy leaves are still small and growing, plus I've read that you don't want to use top leaves because they contain a lot of N.

So do you think it would be alright to use the lower part dead branches or should i wait or what?

these are some young plants let alone you dont even know the sex yet do you? you need to let those babies grow some more so you can get some healthy clones of her especially to determine the sex before you even waste your time. to determine the sex before you going 2 months growing a male when its possible take a clone (shes not ready yet) and let it root for 10 days or until you see the roots coming out the rockwool or w.e medium you use. me personally i use rockwool and oilivias cloning solution with a 100% success ratio. make sure to mist them a few times a day especially under the leaves because they cant drink water due to no roots so they feed the spray.

wait 2 or 3 weeks. then you'll be able to clone. side branches and top branches are all suitable for cloning. take care of the excess N by letting the plant go 7 days with no nutes prior to cloning. and spray the plant down thoroughly with r/o water the day before you want to cut, to leach out any extra salts that are being stored in the leaves.

never clone from a plant that isn't growing in a healthy manner.
