Help with choosing my next stain

Hi Guys,

Ready to try this indoor growing thing again...My last couple of attempts ended in "epic fail" status due to the fact the plants I tried to grow grew way too high for my space and ended up on the appartment balcony.

What I'm looking for is a Fem. strain that, at full grown, is no more than a foot or so. Do these even exist?

Heard some talk around here about some Autoflowering strains that are very small...just dont really know which ones are the small ones. I'm way into quality over quantity so, a huge havest is not really a big deal to me.

Lowryder is the Seed Brand, they produce a strain called Diesel Ryder thats an autoflower, basically a Ruderalis. Whats the maximum height you have to work with?

Check out attitudes autoflowering section....only issue I've ever had with autos is their very inconsistent and quality isn't always 10/10 ya know what i mean

shorter veg time and topping can keep any strain to a manageable height while still producing good buds

not any strain. There's no way you'll keep a sativa under a foot

just top them or tie them down b4 flowering

really need to keep it under 2 feet.....is that even posible?

That sounds just about perfect!! how do the Autos work as far as lighting goes? Do you just start them off at 12/12 and leave them there the whole time?

MOST strains you can keep small if you top then and only veg for a month or so...Q

one more quick question guys, How important is the Fem. seeds really? the normal Auto's are WAY cheaper. I mean, what are the odds of getting all males?

So, you're saying, 10 out of 10 Fem beans are going to be female? I've heard that even Fem seeds dont always produce fem plants. I mean, for the deferance in price, it might be worth getting normal and take your chances, right?

Feminized seeds are gonna produce female plants pretty much every time, though they are more likely to hermie on you, since they are the product of hermaphroditic breeding... I heard some breeders can actually get female seeds from an unfertilized plant, though, by just waiting till its life cycle is complete; because at the end of its life, female plants sometimes produce a few seeds here and there even with no male contact. and these are 100% female seeds w/ no chance of hermies.

To answer your question, it's honestly worth it to get feminized... especially if you're doin autos b/c you have a very limited window to clone. BTW you should totaly go with blue mystic... it is an awesome strain, only one i've ever grown and as you can see from my avatar, it has some tasty nugs! and that was just under CFLs... can't wait for this 400w HPS harvest!!

Na auto's don't care about the light cycle, they flower according to age so you can give them 18/6 or more for the whole grow.
If you only have a small space then feminised is probably your best bet for max yield. Although if you grow regulars you could seed one of the plants to give you seeds for future grows.
I've heard good things about diesel ryder when it comes to autoflowers, they should finish around 2 feet and the smoke/yield is supposedly pretty good for an auto

try a sea of green, about to gamble it myself with barneys farm blue cheese and vanilla kush - yummy!
