Help with cab!! light leaks

Alright guys help me brainstorm here :)

i just built a new cab :leaf:

the door light leaks like crazy. i just tried that foam weather stripping but it was a no go, it just made the door to difficult to open/close. the door is already really heavy for the cab and i think thats what most of the problem is. anyways any ideas for a cheap fix?

basicly the door is a piece of 1/2" OSB plywood with the faces of the dresser screwed onto it, im contemplating just removing them and having a not so stealth cab.

i mean this cab is pretty un stealthy as it is as it looks like shit and if it were a real dresser should have been throw in the trash a long time ago LOL.

im growing in 3 ft lenght cupboard but turned up sideways so u got 1 door openin upwards and 1 downwards,got a fan in the bottom at back to blow in air and one at top which is a tube with 2 small fans each end to basically blow that hot air back out again at top... ive noticed so far running temperatures of 30 celsius for about 3 months inside it its startin to warp on me and not able to close doors properly lol this would probably happen to many people who are going to use any form of wood be it chip.plywood. any type of wood it will eventually dry out and start to warp...its now makin me think to reset up a inwall growroom to extend the space and stop that damn warping lol

any suggestions on what i can do? i took the drawr faces off the plywood and it made the door lighter wich is great but it didnt help my light leak situation

i use towels over the front of my box and with a thick sheet basically a curtain so its thick enough not to allow light through...either that or get some wood and measure both sides front and back of that old set of drawers cut out your fan holes for bottom at back and top at back to let in and let out air and board it up using sealant or wood glue to make sure those boards stay where they are....after putting fans in the boards before u put them in make some flaps for the fans so when ur lights go off u can just put the flap down so it doesnt let light in through the fans either...

yeah i was just looking for a blanket :)

i think im going to go get a shit load of velcro tomorow and cut out a nice piece of lightproof material (whatever i can find or buy cheap) and just velcro the door on and get rid of the plywood.

im ultimatly looking for a no hands operation, meaning i dont want to have to be around everytime lights come on and off.

i have a carbon filter in back that i just made today but it dosent leak light as i taped it off, im not woried about the floor as no light is going to go up through the small passive intake holes i have on the floor.

my biggest concern is the door, but like i said above i think i figured out what im going to do :)

You can't use face mounted foam due to hinge binding, then attach the sealant to the inside cut of the box or cabinet (jam of the door) you'll need a more positive attachment than just sticky tape.

A idea I had was from a infomercial. You know the one for the bug screen. That uses magnets to close. Why can't you use a 10x10 panda plastic that cost 10 bucks and use make that

good ol duct tape! comes in different colors and thicknesses! 1 strip on the inside and one the outside

Get some Panda Film or Mylar and line the entire inside of the box, then use a panel over the door area that you pull aside like a curtain to care for your girls. Worked like a charm for me!

have to be able to open and close it. i got an old pleather top for a truck bed and some industrial strength velcro.
