Help with A/C mini split

Hi

Am really struggling to keep my temps down, So thinking of buying a A/C.

I've searched online an cant find a chart to know which size A/C which suit my needs.

My room is 4 metre x 2 I have 6 x 600watt lights.

Fans are intake 6" 420CFM outtake 8" 740CFM pulling throu carbon filter.

Plus when adding the AC unit I will also be adding CO2.

So with AC unit I can get rid the intake fan completely an just have my outtake on slowly? How would it be set up?

Thanks

what are your temps like? maybe with CO2 the ac wont be needed? For co2 you need a sealed room to make it efficient

Yeah still to hot it's hitting 36 degrees once lights been on 6/7 hours.

So I couldn't imagine would it be like if I turned those fans off

I also have my lights in cool tubes too.

Yes my room is sealed. So either get bigger fans or the mini split.

I really don't think bigger fans is answer this why am thinking the AC.

Just like to know which size in BTU an should I still have the out take an intake fans. But just turn them right down as I do already own a controller for them.

You will need a minimum of 6000 btu for your lights. (depends on the thermal effiency of your room) But It would be best to oversize slightly for a more efficient operation.
A better option may be to create a loop for your cool tubes and ventilate them independently. Then you could hook up your CO2 on a closed system and your AC would work much better.

6000? thats a joke. i run a top of the line inverter mini split and spent a shitload of time learning about them before i got it. you will need at least a 18000 btu for that room with those lights.

yeah the cool tube are run like this outside ---- fan then cool tubes then ducting back outside again.

Superstoner so 18000 BTU would be ok so if i buy a 24000 BTU its not going to have to work its ass off to keep the temps.

now if i add the CO2 i can completely get rid the intake an out take or shall i still keep them but have them turned down real low?

i personally would go with the 24000 or even a 24000 dual zone that way you have 2 inside units in different areas of the room and you can have one set at the lights off temp and one for lights on. the lights off unit will keep room cool and then will stay running when lights come on and temps warm up. when temps get to desired lights on temp the second unit will kick in and you have both running.

Dont think i can afford a dual unit, Will buy the 24000BTU version see how i go.

Once i do install this an the CO2 can i remove the intake an out take fans? I am a little worried about the smell if i remove the out take, My thoughts are keep the out take but have it running very slowly, As i have read that the CO2 is heaver than oxygen an my carbon filter an out take fan are at the top of the room.

So will that work?

the idea is to have a sealed room. dont take your expensive air conditioned and co2 enriched environment and just suck it from the room. i dont use a single odor control product and you would have no idea i had 40 plants in full flower 1' away.

a 24000 BTU mini split will not have to work hard at all to cool your room. you could even go with a smaller one. What i do in my grow room is i have a completely sealed room (no intake or outtake) with 6x 1000W lights, and i only have a 24000 BTU mini split and i can cool the room all they way down to 62 no problem. So 24000 is honestly a little overkill for your room, but will work great. You dont need an intake or out take fan if you have Co2, just an exhaust fan attached to a Carbon filter to clean the air.

I am building a 6k setup on a mini split....using 2 4x8 tables in a 6'x'16'x9'...sealed room...its a very tight fit...was wondering without an intake or an exhaust....would I have enough oxygen for the plants and roots in such a confined space.....I heard somewhere that co2 burns up the oxygen.....was also wondering how to run the co2 at night......thx in advance.
