HELP! WHY IS MY BUD DOING THIS WHILE DRYING!?

So I recently chopped down a runt that was pretty much done flowering. So I've been drying my little runt in a cardboard box hanging from fishing string. I would have 3 of the flaps closed and open open for FAE. First 4 days looked good still. This is the 7th day. And they have slightly turn brown. What is going on? Is there something I'm doing wrong? Please help.20191002_221045.jpg20190930_185439.jpg

I would do as someone else suggested and lose the box. To my untrained eye, the brownish tint of the flower suggests the start of rot. My flower never browned up that much, but whatever. If you have a better sample it would help.

Not saying you have rot but I've learned to be wary of odd brownish coloring.

Take a look at one of your larger buds that looks brown, break it open and see if it's worse or darker in the middle at the stem.
