HELP! WHY IS MY BUD DOING THIS WHILE DRYING!?

So I recently chopped down a runt that was pretty much done flowering. So I've been drying my little runt in a cardboard box hanging from fishing string. I would have 3 of the flaps closed and open open for FAE. First 4 days looked good still. This is the 7th day. And they have slightly turn brown. What is going on? Is there something I'm doing wrong? Please help.

Judging by the fresh cut bud
..those had more time to go before harvest. White pistils everywhere.

I would do as someone else suggested and lose the box. To my untrained eye, the brownish tint of the flower suggests the start of rot. My flower never browned up that much, but whatever. If you have a better sample it would help.

Not saying you have rot but I've learned to be wary of odd brownish coloring.

Take a look at one of your larger buds that looks brown, break it open and see if it's worse or darker in the middle at the stem.

you said leaving the box open... LIGHT is the worst enemy to curing and will brown out your nugs faster than anything. complete darkness helps prevent this.

That was from another plant when I cut a tiny branch cuz it kinda broke from moving around.
