Help .... why are my leaves starting to die? (with pics)

Hi everyone. First post here but a long time lurker.

I have an outdoor grow going in 5 gallon buckets. 4 plants ... nothing major. Recently the leaves on some of the plants look like they are dying. I've started to introduce bone meal as I thought this was a phosphorus deficiency. Some plants are getting better, but this one is starting to show signs of struggling. Any thoughts? My PH is acceptable and they are in full cali sun most of the day. Please take a look at the pics and let me know if you know what is causing this. Thanks!

is this wide spread or just on a leaf or two

after re-reading your post Im gonna say that is just a damaged leaf..... any chance to get a photo of the plant?

It's just a few leaves. It has been in the 90's lately here in cali, dry eat. I'll get a pic tomorrow. In the meantime, I replanted it in a larger 7 gallon pot. I thought maybe it was outgrowing the 5 gallon bucket. In general, are the 5 gallon buckets large enough to take to harvest in?
Thanks all.

over fertilized

see how dark green it is

To flush water you plant with pure water 3x the volume of the container of the pot holds.
ex.) if you have a 1 gallon pot used 3 gallons of pure water to complete a flush
continues flushing for a few more watering. only flush again after the soil is almost dry.

You could also flush with a 1/4 th nute solution. .So it has a little something..i usually flush plain water then the last gallon is one fourth strength..
When i first started i was measuring wrong and using half of what the bottle said thinking i was using full strength and the plants were amazing..then i found out i was using half strength then i bumped it up and started FUCKING them up..just a thought...if you buy some stuff like.cleared it'll help wash the cap outta there

Here's the whole plant ... it's getting worse the last two days. It's been hot outside .... is this just a result of high 90 degree weather or something greater?
Thanks

ya know its not good to have plant that direct sun with over 90 temp in califas that where i live..its hell hot than you feel...if its gone over 90 temp put plant in the shade, and looks like you ve mist or spray on the leaves while its really hot outside? i always mist with plain water in the morning to clean the dust and bug off before it will get direct sun. if its gone over 100 temp , its best to move your plant inside in your house since you have more cooler like AC or fan will do fine....and looks like you got nute burn because you said you put some bone meal in there while its hot outside that plant drink a lot lot lot of water that you feed with...you plant will be fine if you flush and give one week plant will normal once again :)

Thanks lzoc666 .... that's helpful. So freakin' hot here and I don't have ac in the house. I'm stuck with keeping them in the shade. I mist at sunset.
Thanks everyone for the help....I'm hoping for a break in the weather and bushier, greener plants! :D

no problem bro, right now im keeping eye on my one plant outside..its 90 temp already and still gets partly sun because of the tree...yesterday i already feed plant with alaska 5-1-1- so thats why i have to pay attention to the temperature ! so we will get our chance of cool breeze by mid of september...like 4 weeks more to go :) so have a nice day !
