help whats wrong with my plants..

well the other day my plants started blooming..and then 2 days later lots of leaves are turning yellow..I am really concerned because they dont look healthy at all..I know for sure that i have thrips but i am trying to control them with neem oil..but the bright yellow leaves are different..is that normal for the leaves to start dying?

Are your plants in big enough pots? Sometimes when your roots have out grown the pot they are in they become "root bound". Which will cause the leaves to turn yellow. Are you growing in pots or some other medium that isn't big enough?

no they are in 50 gallon pots...so i know its not the pots..is i normal for leaves to die though?i just need to know..

Yes. Sometimes the plant will start to concentrate more on bud production so much that leaves will begin to turn yellow and possibly die. But normally it is only in areas near the bottom of the plant. Is this so for your plant(s)? If not and the yellowing occurs in the upper regions of the plant too then are you over-fertilizing possibly?

yes it might be over nutes.. but i only fert once a week...do you think the thrips will kill them before they are done, or will i make it..i am really worried..

mine did that too then i transplanted them in to bigger pots but i see thats not ur case

Well if you are only at the beginning of your flowering cycle you might wanna really get on top of the thrips for sure. I don't have too much experience with bug problems unfortunately. I have heard of people growing successful crops with thrips, but most of them started to have a thrip problem towards the end of the budding so they just left it be until the cut their crop. I'm sure that if you don't keep them to a minimum it will cause a problem. Continue with the neem oil to help. And possibly prune back some of the leaves they are on and remove the actual bug itself gently. Pruning the leaves will allow more light to different parts of the plant. Sorry I can't help more at this point. Hopefully someone will post after with more info.

recheck ur ph dude sounds like my problem ...... my ph was fucked up .. check ur ph flush ur plant adjust ur ph and it will come back

I had the same issues and found out I had a nitrogen def. now, I know when the plant blooms that it don't need nitrogen for bud process,but the rest of the plant requires some nit. I was using beastie bloomz which has no nitrogen at all, just p & k. I now throw a pinch of nit. fert. in with B.B. and it has turn nice and green again, but the yellowed leaves I pick off and tossed.

I 2nd this. Always check your ph first.

Do you know the PH of your soil? And what is the PH of the water you are giving them both when feeding and not feeding?
