I found this bug on top of my plant today while checking on them, I ripped the head off killing it but I attached a picture, can anyone tell me what it is?

It looks to me like some sort of beetle, but I could be wrong. It's too big to be a spider mite or a thrip, and it's definitely not a fungus gnat.

Just a little beetle, probably saw the lights while you were tending plants and went for it.

No worries.

I found a funky neon green winged lil Fr flying around my cab the other day, but I think he must have went too high in the cab and the 6" Vortex turned him into part of my carbon filter cuz he has has been MIA the last few days. Self cleaning cab...its all good.

Well I haven't seen anymore on the plants, and the local nursery thought it was a beetle of some kind as well. I do have a slight fungus gnat problem, but I bought sticky strips and I have let the soil dry out.

lady bugs dont eat leaves... they eat aphids. They are great to have in you grow room... I have ordered them off the net just to let them loose in my grow room to eat mites and aphids. It works.

Yeah dude... Ladybugs are beneficial predators. They feed on the insects that are destructive to your plants. Many people buy them and put them in their garden just so they can keep the destructive insects in check. I don't know what was eating your plant, but I promise you it wasn't the Ladybug.

My back porch has hundreds of lady bugs right now, I scooped up like 10 and put them in my closet.
