I think my plants are over fertilized. I'm using Botanicare products in my deep water culture system at 1/8th strength and still my leaves get this burnt look. I keep decreasing the strength of the nutrients and they still come out this way. Any ideas?
have you tried flushing instead of using nutes

That is crazy. Have you checked ppm, ec, and pH? Looks like something pretty funky. I hate to sound like an old nag, but are you absolutly sure you are adding the correct amount of fertilzer?

flushing it just when you give a plant plain water. doesnt matter if its in soil or hydro. that my friend is nute burn.

either give it straight water for a while so it can flush out the nutes, or most deffinately cut back hella on the nutes you are adding to the water. either way you are feeding way too much and its getting burned.

oh also check the temp of your water. I just read your post about brown roots. if its too warm then you can get root rot.

PH is under 6.0. I've rechecked the manufacturer's instructions and I'm definitely using 1/8th strength. Not sure on the PPM because yesterday I flushed the system and replaced my Botanicare nutrients with some Fox Farms that I had.
