Help! Week 8 not sure what my Next step Is!

So I Just entered the 8th week of flowering. Most of the hairs have turned with a few white hairs still remaining. Today is Feeding day, but i was wondering if I should go ahead and just do the Flush today. Also once I enter this final flush stage I have heard mixed reviews about Light on or off!? Also how often should i be watering them? They are sour diesel x trainwreck strain and are giving off that great diesel smell. 400w hps light during flowering. What has worked best for you guys in the last week or 2 of the grow? Do you think it is time to flush? Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Any other information that I should be aware of during this stage would be greatly appreciated as well. This is my 1st grow and it has gone so amazing up to this point I would hate to mess it all up now!!! Thanks so much!

keep feeding another week or so. let those buds swell. if your really wanna flush do it after 1 or 2 more feeding.

Leave the light regime the same. Don't worry about extended dark periods or anything like that until you're more familiar with the strain and growing in general. Feed until you want. That's a preferential thing. Some say they can taste the difference, some can't.

I have not watered for 2 days?!? and i have been feeding nutes. I do like a gallon flush maybe once every 2-3 weeks, but nothing major. I don't know where you are getting the notion that i have watered the shit out of them?

What medium are you growing in?
What high are you looking for?

EDIT:how much do you water? what size pot is she in?
Sour Diesel usually finishes out in 9-10 weeks as train wreck finishes in 8+ so depending on the high/stone your looking for is when you will harvest.
The last week or so is when I "flush" but how you flush depends greatly on your medium...
Also my girls get at least 48 hrs of darkness but that's a matter of preference like so many other things...

I am using FFOS and have since seedlings. I am in 10"x10" pots. I roughly water every three days and usually I would say a little over a half gallon with FF nutes as well (using recommended dosage, but not following chart to a T). What does the darkness do for the girls? I am very unsure about the flush, and any suggestion is great. I was planning on just dumping water in until she was running w clear water and then drain the rest of the excess out. Thanks for all the feedback!

If you want to flush then just feed ph balanced water from here on out. The soil retains nutrients and the plant will feed off of the remaining. By the time she's done it'll be just like flushing. If you don't know what an extended dark period or flushing is for then don't do it. You're used to smoking what isn't flushed so you'll be fine.

I understand the flushing is to get the salty nutes out of the system and to sweeten overall taste and aroma? I think I am definitely used to my bud being flushed as I am medicinal and always go for top shelf, and that is what i want to grow! Joe would you recommend the feeding water for the week over an actual flush? Thanks!

Remember, keep it simple. Your goal is to get thru with as little issues as possible. By adding other methods you're only asking for trouble. Learn the basics of seeing her to the end and then experiment later.

You a dumbass? that is based on genetics.......NOT more amber=body high like most noobs think.

I'm still learning to grow but have smoked for years. I don't have a preference but I'm still learning. Hydroponics don't get flushed that I know of so I don't see the benefit in soil. My current run is a little over 4 weeks into flower and half will get flushed, half won't. I personally wouldn't flush and would determine after tasting if that's something I would want in the future. That's why this run of mine will get a flush, half anyway. It's all preference.

Ya that is a sativa dom strain so go at least another week feeding then begin flush depending on trich colors.

Light on or off? Never heard of that. If you are asking about the myth of 72 hours of darkness at harvest to gain resin and weight just know it's bullshit. If you want to do it to save 36 hours of electricity go ahead, that's at least a valid reason. Darkness at harvest does nothing positive, you actually need that 12 hours of light each day for anything positive to happen in darkness.

Ten to fourteen days before harvest start your flush, I usually run a 2:1 medium:water ratio. If you have it laying around some final flush/ flushing agent wouldn't hurt. Do not water within the last two days before harvest. The soil should be fairly dry, but not dry enough that the girls are wilting.
The idea with a flush ofcorse is to let the plant metabolize any nutes she has left, that way your not smoking sparking, nasty buds.

Well unless Jorge Cervantes is a dumbass too I think not. According to his book "mj horticulture the growers bible" he states that resin glands (trichs) change color as they mature.
Resin glad development works in three stages.
translucent: Harvesting when majority of the glands are clear and few have become milky will result in a cerebral, soaring, heady stone.n Pure Satva/ Sativa dominant strains are ideal for this scenario.
milky: This will be peak potency. When trichs are 50% milky the high will be both cerebral and physical with a good head and body stone.
amber: harvest will be pure body stone, Pure indica afghan, and indica dominant strains are ideal for this one

You will want to harvest according to what complements your genetics and what you are looking for
