help... vegged for too long??

I am on my first grow in a 3 x 3 x 8 feet grow cupboard with 250w hps... 4 plants in 8.5 litre auto pots.. ladyburn 1974


The problem I have is that 1 of the plants is about 2 weeks older than the other 3 and is now 17inches tall and very bushy been vegging for about 6 weeks... the other 3 are 10inches tall and not much growth yet..

is the first one going to be too big for my grow room lights etc... I was thinking about splitting my room in half and having veg in the top on a 250w cfl light and flower in the bottom with 250hps... putting the big one into flower this week and leave the other 3 to veg until they are abit bigger...

any reccomendations?

Splitting the room in half is a good idea one for veg one for flower, you can have better control over em
6 weeks veg is good ill start budding soon

sounds good but when splitting the room,you will have to make sure the light from the veg room doesn't spill into the other half

Thanks for the replies... I will seal it up good and also was going to put a 4'' duct with inline fan into the bottom grow area and run it upto the loft with a carbon filter...

you could either split it or save all the work and just flower them and lst the big one to keep it the same height as the others

I thought for my next grow i could then have 4 plants in flower while 4 are in veg... so i get a harvest every 8 weeks or soo...

i mean if you have the room that would be perfect
