Help understanding lighting

I'm trying to decide what would be best lighting for my next grow. I have a 2X4 grow area and was looking at a new light that consumes 520watts, or 2 lights at 270 watts consumed each? I can see reasons for either setup, but hoping for the best solution. Thank you in advance, I know its a silly question, but I'm still learning.

It depends on your goals..

I think 400 watts is plenty for a 4x4 unless you have great temperature controls or live someplace cold

First inside grow, grown outside many years ago. In Northeast so cool very humid basement. 'm growing under CFL's in a mothers helper tent, 6" intake cold basement, 4" carbon outtake. Green crack and Girl Scout, feminized Amsterdam seedbank, papertowel pop then 3" peat pot in light warrior for about two weeks, only water. Tend to be slow to start. Start with 4X4 6500 K during veg (total 6 week), then changed bulb to 2700K for the flower, starting week 3 now. Stretched well during first 2 weeks. Given the space requirement of the tent I did a FIM and am LST on all plants. Only broke one! Fixed it with duct tape......I like the short internodal space I get with the CFL's and you can put them very close. I'm in soil , 3 gal felt pots. I've been trimming fans and just started to get rid of suckers to expose th e undersides. Just added 2 x 250 W 2700 K CFL's with reflectors at back. Big suckers, lumens galore. We will see what happens. Photos of week 3 veg and today. Likin' what I'm seeing so far. Just a hobby/medical grow have recorded everything. I'll keep you updated into harvest. Thinking 3rd week Sept having a nice flush prior.

Get an air cooled 600. Can't go wrong.

2 Two 315 watt CMH lights would work well.
