Help! Two seeds sprouted together

I used the paper towel method to germinate 10 bag seeds but only 4 germinated. I planted those 4 several days ago but decided to throw a couple of the "dud" seeds into another pot.

Well I'll be damned...both of them sprouted!

My question is...what is the best way to seperate these? Is it safe to dig them up at this early of a stage?

Should I just clip the shorter one to make sure I get at least one plant out of the deal?

Thanks in advance for any help guys.

let em go just put them in a biggerpot then you would usually when you transplant..my buddy had an outdoor plant do this last year..by harvest time you couldnt tell one from the other coming out of the ground..looked like one stalk
9 oz's stunk up the frickin nieghborhood

Thanks guys.

I'll leave them and see what happens. If one is a male and one is a female I'm going to cry though...lol

if you are carefull you can seperated them from each other. one way would be to wash away the soil with a wather bath...
but if you think you not up to this let them grow until the get their first serrated leave sets and then take clones from them. that would work as well. they can stay some time this way but not all the way till flower.

Thanks guys, that gave me the confidence to separate them. I put them in two seperate pots and planted them a little deeper (covered about half an inch of stem) so they don't fall over. Then I watered them pretty heavy...hopefully they will be ok.
