Hi im new to the site and the hobby.Just to tell alittle about my self i am a reefer that means i luv my reef tank and im sure ill love my grow room.My question is how often should i top-off with water?and what is leeching?
 
Yeah, you need to describe the setup. Leeching means different things depending on context.
 
That's basically my setup and here is what I do. I use Humboldt nutes and follow their schedule although I will deviate if I see something that indicates it. I change water every two weeks (and any other time indicated for a remedy) so adjust nutes then and at the midpoint. I don't try to keep nutes at a certain level through the middle of the week. Seems to me if you start off with 7 days worth of food and at the end of the 5th day you have 2 days left, you don't need anyone to bring it back up to 7. I would overeat and since my daughters take after their dad, so would they! bongsmilie
 
As far as topping of the res, it will change. When they are young they wont require to top off that often. As they get older they will require topping off more often.
I have 4 plants that are 4 weeks into flowering and I add a gallon back in my res every day and the clones that are 3 week old I add maybe a gallon a week total. If that gives you any idea.
 
cool thank for the reply.So toping off is like my fish tank when the sumps water level drops i add water back.? so how much water mixed with nutes do i start off with in the 10gal rubbermaid?
 
it depends on what type of hydro you are going to be doing. DWC/ bubbleponics, Drip, and there are many more. Do you know how you want the setup?
